Update 2/4: I’ve since reached out and heard nothing back.
Let me preface this by I will never eat here again and it has nothing to do with the food. I had a negative experience with the “owner/operator” this afternoon that has left me to leave this negative review.
I love the food here my absolute go to meal take out or dine in are the Texas Fajitas with a side of cheese dip. They never fail so shout out to the kitchen! The establishment is very clean and beautiful it’s perfect for date nights. I also frequent the Washington PA location and for here on out will be taking my business there.
If I order pick up it’s through door dash because it allows me in the special instructions to indicate no beans. I have a G6PD deficiency which leaves me to have an allergy to legumes long story short no beans. Never have an issue and in exchange ask for extra shredded cheese. Even if I’m charged it’s never been an issue.
When I go to pick up today I realize the side order of cheese is there but the shredded cheese isn’t. I’m told today it doesn’t come with the meal at all the owner operator read the menu in front of me. I repeated I frequent here and it always does and did just end up paying in store for the shredded cheese but upon pulling up the picture from door dash seen that the fajitas had cheese.
The greeter at the front said he had no idea what the cheese in the picture was and again grabbed the owner operator. The owner/operator said it is cheese but it doesn’t come with the order then corrected that and said the cheese only comes with the beans.
Fine fair whatever the owner/operator was curt, repeatedly told me he couldn’t give me something for free, and repeatedly let me know my issue wouldn’t go any further seeing as that is his establishment. If I never had cheese with my order I would’ve never ever asked for extra.
The entire exchange was unprofessional demeaning and the owner/operator did nothing to diffuse that. I’d even go further to say this to any customer if cheese didn’t come with the order or isn’t supposed to I would’ve as a courtesy to a returning customer offered it and let them know they’d have to pay in the future. Because of all this I didn’t even get to tell them the tortillas that I absolutely know come with my order weren’t there either.
Before leaving I asked for a refund for the entire order I wanted to leave everything there. There is nothing worse than happily paying for an order as a treat to yourself and having someone imply that you’re trying to get something for free. I was told I would have to go through door dash. Door dash refunded me for the side order of cheese not really understanding the issue I had at the establishment or why management wasn’t willing to help.
Below is what I received today. I’m hoping that someone can...
Read moreTonight my wife and I joined some friends for dinner at Plaza Azteca. We had never been to this restaurant before tonight, and I’m so glad we made it down to White Oak for this!
Upon arrival (5:30PM Saturday) we were taken to a table near the bar, which was nicely lit and had a big city bar ambiance. It actually ended up being nice to be seated here, because most of the server foot traffic didn’t come past our table, so it was a quieter table.
We ordered drinks shortly after sitting down and they came a few minutes later. My wife, myself, and one of our friends all had margaritas and they were well mixed and tasted great! Our 4th ordered a large Modelo on tap (which turned out to be a liter) and he enjoyed that as well.
We ordered our dinners a couple minutes after receiving our drinks. I remember my wife got steak fajitas and I got a Ruleta Steak Burrito. I kid you not, from the time we ordered our food to the time we received it was under 10 minutes. It felt like it was 5 minutes, and was so fast that I was actually shocked. And the food was piping hot!
My burrito was phenomenal, my wife did comment that she thought it was a little spicy. The burrito was filled with steak, onions, rice, and beans, and It was topped with cheese sauce, enchilada sauce, crema, and Pico de Gallo. I loved every bite! My wife ordered the Texas Fajitas, which were steak and shrimp cooked with peppers and onions and served on a sizzling skillet, accompanied by tortillas, rice, beans, sour cream, and Pico de Gallo. Her dish was much larger than mine and she couldn’t quite finish all of it, so the portion size is pretty big!
For dessert, we all split a fried ice cream, and I thought the ice cream was great, but personally not a fan of the corn flake coating, though the rest of the table enjoyed.
Altogether the entire experience was excellent! The food is some of the best Mexican I have eaten in a long time, and the drinks were on point, too. The service was top notch until we hit the end of the night, when we did unfortunately wait a very long time to get our checks, though the company was good, so we didn’t mind too much, but it did keep us in the restaurant a good 30 minutes longer than we intended to be.
Altogether, I enjoyed, would recommend, and plan to go back soon!
For dessert, we ordered the...
Read moreFood was good but service.. NO. Me and my friend came here last night and we had an extremely uncomfortable and creepy experience with a waiter, Jonathan Ramirez. To start, he kept flirting with us and asking very personal questions. For example, he kept asking what color my eyes are and getting close to stare at them, also asking about my friend’s physical appearance as well like asking about her hair. He tried to pressure us to buy more alcohol and even bought me a shot of tequila and wanted to stand there and watch me take it. I did not take the shot so he ended up leaving the table after minutes of trying to convince me. He would not take no for an answer with anything. He wouldn’t give us our check until we were last people in the back dining room, which seemed very deliberate. That’s when he kept pressing us for our socials and number, he got upset when I gave him the wrong number on purpose after I said I didn’t want to give it to him at all. We finally got the check after asking multiple times, about 30 minutes later. It also seemed like the other waiters were in on it. They kept creeping around and there were about 5-6 workers in the dining room when we were the only table left. They kept looking at us and smiling, even laughing at times. The one waiter made hand signals to another worker, making the phone hand signal and put up two fingers to say there two of us, which was right after the waiter asked for our numbers. Never coming back EVER again. His name Jonathan Ramirez, atleast that’s the name he used for his Instagram...
