The Rose Bar and Grille — Restaurant in White Oak

I have been debating on whether or not to put this review up for a month now. The fact that it's still on my mind a month later is all the proof I need that I should probably post it.

Our experience was an absolute catastrophe, and our entire group decided never to go back.

We gave them over a week's notice that we would have a large 20+ person sized party for a sweet girls' 21st birthday party.

Everything seemed okay when we arrived. They had a section in the back just for us, which was awesome. That way, we can get up and hang out and talk and walk around.

But that's the end of the good things. It took forever for us to be able to get menus and then we had the menus for quite a long time before anyone even came to check up on us. We only ever received our original drinks and half the drinks weren't even correct or just sat on a spare table for us to figure out whose was what almost everybody's drink was gone before they even came to check on us. And one of the people in our party actually had to go find the waitress in order to get the orders put in. Even then, they only took five people's orders and then disappeared despite everyone being ready. We would not see them again until the food came out for the original people who ordered. That's when they finally took the order of the rest of the table. To say it only got worse from here would be an understatement. People's dishes were coming out completely wrong or not even close to what they ordered.

We had some people leave before their order even came out because it was taking two three or even four hours for people to get there food! And when food did come out it was never altogether. It was like sets of three people at a time. We still had people getting their food after cake was already being served for the birthday.

The bartender ended up having to abandon their station an agitate other patrons just to come down and help our completely unprepared waitress who was the only waitress there for the entire restaurant. How do you possibly get a week's notice of a party this size and still not get more than one waitress on the schedule for the entire restaurant?!?

Some of us ended up being their grand total of 5 hours and missed out on the entire after party at the next location due to how God awful this place was. To top it all off, not a single receipt was right at the end. Every single Bill had to be sent back to be corrected so that people were getting charged for the right things. A couple people were so sick and tired of being there they just paid for things that they didn't even get just to get out of there.

This place single-handedly ruined this girl's 21st birthday party. If you're aware that you're completely incapable of hosting a party, you should tell them when they're trying to place the reservation. Not once did our waitress or anyone come and check on the birthday girl to see if she would like an alcoholic beverage or anything. In fact, no one in our entire table even got a refill on their drink in the first two and a half hours we were there. The waitress was actively trying to avoid our section and did everything in her power to blame the kitchen for everything. But that doesn't explain our lack of drinks or messed up bills.

There is nothing worse than watching the guest of honor fall apart due to poor service and missing out on the rest of her birthday plans... I ended up doing everything I could to take her out to eat the following day and wish we could all forget this...

I have to leave this review, I’ve been holding back from doing it but it’s been bothering me to much. I planned a party at the rose for my 21st birthday. My mom called them about 2 weeks in advance, saying there would be about 15 people there. (They were well aware of that) We arrived with our party, and sat there waiting to get drinks and a menu. After that, the waitress was avoiding us. I don’t know how many times I saw her look over to us, and then dash into the kitchen like she was busy doing something else. She eventually took our orders, and when they came out… almost everyone at our tables orders were wrong or some orders just didn’t show up until later. Then it came time for the bill. That was a mess! There was stuff on bills that NO ONE ordered. The waitress had to get help from the bartender to fix this. Luckily the bartender was super helpful. That took about an hour to fix. I just felt so embarrassed that I chose this place. In the past the rose has always been a good experience for me, but not this time. Im not bashing anyone there by any means. I just don’t recommend going there with a big party, even if you call way...

Went there for their incredible fish sandwich. I hot the God'-coder Barry style. My wife got the smaller version. They were as advertised, HUGE and very good just a little greasy. As for the service not so good. We sat down and it took 12 mins before someone came to out booth. They were upset that we sat ourselves. There was no sign then they put the sign up, please wait to be seated. Finally the table was wipe off. Five minutes later we were given the menues, but no water. Five minutes another waitress waited on us for our order. It was some what busy since it was Friday and we were sitting in the bar area. Through all this there were 4 waitresses in that area most of the time just standing around. Finally the food. Great fish sandwich. We both ordered without buns. Mine, the Barry, was 2 large pieces each about 10 inches long. Could only eat half, the same for my wife. The rest was going home. Would go back, but maybe sit in their...
