If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I've been going to Little Italy since arriving in Belvidere and yesterday will be my last time going there. The food has gradually declined; as well as the service. I understand the pandemic, I understand delivery times which is why I opt for pick-up the majority of the time I get food. Aside from prior orders being room temp. or coming late, I've given them the benefit of the doubt because of the situation we are all facing right now.
However, the other night I had ordered 2 sets of 8pc. Wings, 1 hot, 1 mild, with (1) side of fries and (2) ranch cups. We were told 40min for pickup, okay.. kinda late but ultimately not a problem.
Except when we arrive, there's no ranch cups and there's no fries. All the staff are huddled in the center of all the machines "smokin' and jokin'" as we would say. When we tell them we ordered fries, the cashier, bless her heart, turns to the rest of the Staff because she is new and relays to who I can only assume is their supervisor/manager/most exp employee. To which he looks at the both of us, scoffs, and says he will need to see our food to verify because, and I quote.. "we always put fries with our food".
Incorrect. Fries are not in the same bin as wings, but that's where the miscommunication began because they were under the impression we ordered Chicken Fingers, while visibly holding up Chicken Wings.
We give them the benefit of the doubt AGAIN, because after all it IS a pandemic, so we just ask for our 2 ranch cups and to be on our way without the fries. The cashier again, relays this, only for the same set of individuals in the back to look at us again for inconveniencing their leasurely joke time, to POSSIBLY throw us a bone and SPARE us 2 little ranch cups to go with their undercooked...
Read moreI would love to give 0 stars, I live 12 minutes from this place, ordered delivery at 3:58pm, was told it would be an hour (no biggie), at 6:00 because the food had not arrived and I hadn’t received a phone call, I called them and the boy said they were, “waiting on my salad” , I said really waiting on the salad? Then all of a sudden it was done and whoever was delivering was leaving right then and there. 6:30 PM rolls around and the food still is not here, so I called and asked what was going on because I was told a half an hour ago that the delivery driver was on his way, I asked if the food was even going to be hot when it got here and the kid on the phone actually said probably not in all honesty. So I canceled the order and apparently that was not OK because I received a phone call back from someone else asking why I canceled and I told her how long it had been and that the boy told me the food wasn’t even hot anymore and she said I have no idea why he would say that because it is and the food is on its way. Well I told her I don’t want it and I’m eating something else I had to leave at 6:30 to go pick up something because we had nothing else planned. At 7 o’clock we received a knock on the door and it was the delivery driver, so that means that because I only live 15 minutes away from this place, tops, that I canceled the order and they never told the poor delivery kid and he left and came to my house anyway. My husband wasn’t a happy camper when he answered the door, he was hangry and had zero fuse, and to the delivery kid I’m sorry he may have raised his voice to you, it was wrong... I don’t know what kind of place they’re running but there must be zero communication, and poor time...
Read moreI would give this place zero stars, my husband already gave this place a review and to be clear I’m pretty sure there was no rudeness to the review. I find it adorable how the owner of this place was to busy to get on the phone with a PAYING customer, but wasn’t to busy to leave a comment to his review. The only rudeness that occurred was when you decided to speak the way you did and thought your counter help had the phone on hold. I’m pretty sure any business owner is never to busy to resolve an issue the appropriate way. If your business put as much effort into the food and customer service as you do your reviews you’d would have a better reputation. This isn’t the first time we have had an issue with this place but as being a loyal customer we give the benefit of the doubt to everyone. At the end of the day it’s not about who is right and who is wrong it’s about being professional and I’m not sure where you learned your professional etiquette from. As long as you can go to sleep at night after being rude and disrespectful to someone that is clearly SUPPORTING your business then so be it.
