In response the owners reply Siam Thai Kitchen ครัวสยามไทย #1-the food that we were charged for, yes I took it to go. #2-your intention obviously was to charge me as you stated the amount of my check as well as the tip. That tip was generous considering we were served food that was given to another table. My husband and I are both generous tippers when deserved. #3 you wouldn’t mind if I “called you out” had this been a pleasant experience. #4 besides the table of 11, there was only us and the table of 3, so please don’t act like that’s any excuse.
I’d give this zero stars.
Our waitress came out to let us know our food would be right out. A minute or two later the other tables waitress brought out what I was pretty sure was our food (being that our waitress said ours would be right, the other table ordered after us, and their waitress said what the food was as she brought it to their table; chicken and shrimp pad Thai). Not even two minutes later, the waitress comes back to that table, takes their plates and says she gave them the wrong food. Not even two minutes after that our waitress comes out with “our” plates of food. There were obvious bald spots where the food had been eaten (that and the girl who had our spicy chicken remarked how hot it was as she coughed) I told the waitress our food was eaten off of and we would not be eating it and that we wanted new plates.
She gives us our food which after much personal debate, we ate. Both waitresses asked us how it was and I was honest and said it was ok. The owner, who was sitting across from us out on the deck, approached us and apologized. After being given the check we asked if he knew we were given food that was eaten and he said that he did. He said the waitress that made the mistake was in danger of being fired. I also asked how our food ended up the hands of our waitress. He said that was a good question. Long story short, don’t waste your money. I never wish ill will on anyone but on the case I hope the $32.00 was worth it to him for this word of mouth (and Google, Yelp, and Siam Thai Kitchen fb...
Read moreIn response to the owner, I live about 45 minutes away. So coming for a replacement isnt really an option. I'm lucky if I get to enjoy Thai food a handful of times a year, that's why it's so disappointing. I also don't understand why the person who answered the phone didn't take my order. That person spoke perfect English but instead I was put on hold and the person who got on was a lady who I could barely understand. I don't have anything against her but it doesn't make sense to have someone who doesn't speak English well take orders when there clearly is another option.
Called ordered green curry with chicken and an appetizer of stey. Just got it and there's no chicken in the curry. There's no meat at all, at least if they had got the meat wrong and there was something it wouldn't be so bad. The lady on the phone even asked what kind of meat I wanted. I ended up tearing up my appetizers to put in my curry. So basically i paid 23 dollars for a bowl of curry and was cheated out of my appetizer. The curry itself was really dull too, the zucchini was huge chunks that were barely cooked. The green beans were kind of woody and the basil leaves still had woody stems on them. I figured I would give this new place a try but from now on I'll stick with Teerak, at least you get what you order from there and you know it's...
Read moreI am a little late reviewing this restaurant, as we visited it on 9/2/23, but I have to say it was very good. Having eaten at a number of Thai restaurants, this came behind none of them. The owners, Ed and his wife Tuna are very congenial. Tuna, obviously not her real name, is a legitimate Thai cook who brought her knowledge and skills from the old country.
We had Tom Kha which had a generous amount of mushrooms in it. It was a bit sweeter than I prefer, but my wife really liked it. We also had their equivalent of crab rangoons, which had more filling than most restaurants use. We really enjoyed them. My wife had orange chicken, and she said it was delicious. I tried something that I never have eaten before, crispy chicken over Panang curry. The chicken was fantastic and stayed crispy. The panang curry was also very good, but again, a tad sweet for my taste. The spice level was fine in all dishes, but Mrs. owner gave me a small bowl of a Thai chili mix which was a nice touch.
I live a little over an hour away from here, so it isn’t a restaurant that I will go to a lot, but I already told them that I will be bringing a group who visits various Thai restaurants with me in the very near future. If it wasn’t any good, I would never recommend it...
