Group of us ladies met on a Friday at 5 pm to visit who hadn’t seen each other in quite awhile to enjoy conversation, good food, and a pitcher of wine. Started off good until the waitress started interrupting our conversations constantly asking questions and while we are eating might I add. Just during our ordered appetizer. Then we all get our meals and we are drinking our wine and she’s still interrupting our conversations. I was very polite to her. Then owner sees we are still visiting, drinking our shared pitcher of wine, eating still and is circling our table non stop. Then we all are starting to get annoyed with it. Then he’s pulling plates. Trying to box stuff etc. bread sticks . One of us is still eating a meal by the way. This continues on with watching our table and we are visiting with each other. By this time it’s only one hour and 20 minutes in the restaurant. Then he leans down and mentions that there are people now waiting in cars outside that need inside to eat and slips gift cards of $5 off on table to us and asks us to leave. He then said if I had my front patio open you all could go upfront to visit but he needs the dining space. He then grabs two of our wine glasses picks them up and puts them back down on the table in a different location and makes the comment please do finish this too. Very inappropriate with touching of glasses once someone had been drinking them. Very rude! Making us professional ladies feel uncomfortable and unwanted in his establishment. Us ladies kindly didn’t cause a scene and we get up and put on our coats and walk out. We stand outside in front of establishment for 20 minutes and watch the entrance-while visiting and no one was entering the establishment nor was there anyone at doors waiting to be seated we watched. All we saw was pizzas being picked up period. Not sure why owner feels this is ok to do yo customers he is a money hungry man. Not about the dining experience. Then update- I post a review on his Facebook and he got rude and stated we stayed too long after we paid which is an absolute lie and that I only paid $14 then deleted my response comment. Then blocked me on facebook what a unprofessional owner to post to me as a buying customer those things then block me. So I will be sharing a picture of my receipt soon so all know who the liar is. I paid way more myself than $14 and so did my two...
Read moreMaple Street Pizza Company didn’t just feed me… they spiritually reassembled me.
I walked in like a normal human being. I left a mozzarella-slicked feral oracle of flavor, joy and marinara. One bite of that crust and my ancestors sat up in their graves and slowly golf-clapped.
I swear I blacked out somewhere between the garlic knots and the moment the cheese hit my soul’s frequency.
The pizza? It wasn’t food. It was a divine intervention in circular form. That sauce unlocked a childhood memory I didn’t even have.
The pepperoni was so perfectly crispy, I proposed to it mid-bite. It said yes. We're registered at Bed Bath & Beyond.
The staff? Angels. Pizza-slinging, dough-tossing angels with the reflexes of a caffeinated college student.
One of them looked me dead in the eyes and said “extra cheese?” and I swear I almost cried. I didn’t even say anything out loud—they just knew.
The place smells like salvation, the oven sounds like Beethoven if he was baked.
If you haven’t eaten here yet, I’m not saying your life is meaningless, but I am saying it could use significantly more parmesan.
I would die for this pizza. I have died for this pizza. I am writing this as a ghost.
10/10.
I will haunt this...
Read moreThere was nothing in the menu indicating the only red sauce in the house had a significant spicy bite. All 3 of our company wanted no spicyness on their pizza or other items. But there isnt any options besides a white sauce which was ... which we tried and found it not that interesting.
The pizza crust was great - brick oven crisped delicious pizza crust, as was the fresh muzza on the Margarite pizza. Yumm. Altho The basil was barely there [why so stingy], when a Margarite is usually generous with that ingredient. And basil was in season...
Despite my dissapointments, This place is good, serving sizes generous and flavor is wonderful.
But i wont be back if the only marinara is spiced so hot i can barely eat it. Some of us are much more sensitive and need to avoid ALL nightshades [sensitivity not yet allergy]. Peppers shouldnt be impossible to avoid. Just make the same marinara without the pepperflakes please. You might get 5 stars. Oh and our server completely forgot us too, and i had to go ask her to bring us a check. Not a good first...
