This is no lie some of the best BBQ I have ever had. My favorite was the brisket. Very fresh, just the right smoke. Their sauce is outstanding, nice spice, just a little heat, and I had to ask them because I tasted some apple.. they hand make the sauce and add some apple cider to it.. Clever and delicious!!! You have to try it to understand what I mean. Very unique. The two young ladies who work there are very sweet, and do their best to make sure you're happy. They truly take pride in their food. And the prices are great.. The place has a stay business. Just a tiny place in the side of the road, and I loved it!! No inside seating, but a couple of tables outside. Hey me again I travel 250 days a year heavy industrial construction. I love BBQ and BBQ is personal and intimate, it's our heritage and speaks to our soul. I am down on the Bunge/Chevron plant and needed BBQ two of my guys told me about Hillbilly BBQ just across the river. The potato salad is white but really really good, excellent actually. The pork plate two side and a pile of pork, the meat is amazing really good! The baked beans are not my cup of tea but it's the local style and my guys almost licked thier plate.....I also got a rack of ribs man those ribs are amazing, and a piece of chocolate pie...this is a great find a true gem in a mix of mediocre food places this place is the top tier. I have always frequented Hillbilly BBQ when I worked in Wickliffe. So when I started my new job and we were having a ROADEO, I immediately booked them to come provide our food. Everyone loved them so much we are having them again for our ROADEO in September because I wanted to make sure they wasn’t already booked. Not only is the food so good (thank you, Logan Northington), but Madison DeRouse is such an awesome person to deal with when booking them and when they set up. From start to finish they are true professionals and it makes my job so much easier knowing that’s one less thing to worry about.
