I wrestled with the idea of writing this because I understand everyone needs to make a living, but I truly believe that, for the well-being of the restaurant, this individual is causing more harm than good. Over a month ago, my husband and I came to the Wilder location for dinner. Our server was named Destiney. At first, everything was fine, but as the evening went on, I began to feel very uncomfortable. I used to be a server myself, so I completely understand that side conversations happen—but this went far beyond that. Destiney was standing near the entrance, in the area where guests are greeted, speaking very negatively about one of the managers. She said she was rarely scheduled, that “this place sucks,” and even insulted a manager—presumably the one who handles the schedule—calling her “ugly” and saying she looked, quote-unquote, “like Shrek.” The comments were loud enough for my husband and me to clearly hear, and it made us both uncomfortable. Because she was so focused on complaining, she was not attentive to our table. We had to wait for drink refills, and she barely checked on us throughout the meal. While the food and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant were excellent, the service put a damper on the entire experience. I happened to recognize her from Campbell County and later confirmed who she was. I also learned that she has two DUIs. While that’s her personal matter, it does add to my concern about her being a representative of your restaurant’s culture. I’m sharing this because I believe she is negatively impacting the atmosphere and reputation you’ve worked so hard to create. People in the community are already talking, and it reflects poorly on an otherwise amazing establishment.

I live right next door to this place and have been a steady customer. I used to brag on their food. Unfortunately, quality has gone down hill, FAST. I went in two nights ago and waited just under an hour for a burger and fries. AN HOUR. When I got it, it was an absolute mess. I ordered it to-go. They just threw it in the box. Bun was off the burger. Fries were scattered on top of the cheese. If I told my 3 year old to put together a hamburger, this is probably what he’d make. All would be forgiven if the food was legit, right?! Sorry my dude. The fries were stale and the burger was extremely dry. I contacted the restaurant directly to try to resolve this before resorting to a bad review. They took my number but never called back. If they’re not going to care enough to at least call me back, then I don’t want them preparing my food. I noticed drinks were coming out slow. Staff would continually hide in the back and come out with nothing, leaving the bar staff-less. Mismanagement at its finest. But hey, I don’t want to keep anyone from having a good time. If you’d like to wait an hour for your food and have it stale and dry when it arrives, this is the place for you!

Wow! We were blown away with our Barleycorn’s Brewhouse lunch on Rt 9 in Wilder today. The BBQ Chicken flatbread was to die for and the chicken wings were amazing! The iced tea was just an added plus. Ask for Bre as she’s the real deal. She definitely knows her product (menu). I dare you to ask her a question about something you are thinking of ordering. See her and Jason in the pic below. They’re both awesome. That happens at places where co-workers work together as a team. WTG guys. 👏👏👏👏

We came in from out of town on Memorial Day. Weekend. Friday night, we looked at reviews. Awesome posts. Well we sat ourselves down. No waitress for 20 minutes. Ask one not my table. Ok she cleaned table left . Ask her 10 minutes later if she could get someone. She did just that. We had a warm body. Nice girl but inexperienced. Ordered drinks 20 minutes later none. Ask her again brought only 2 we had five of us. Went back got rest. Took food order . Asked her 20 minutes later. Oh I'll check. 10 minutes had to ask again. Chips stayle, all food cold. Call manager over told him he reheated food. Gave food to us. I can go on but you understand. Regular staff skipped town for holiday. I would skip this place. It needs John Tapper. Maybe he...
