We went on an expedition to try this new restaurant for a 1:30pm lunch. On the plus side, the restaurant is beautiful and offers plenty of inside and outside seating options. (The table placed in front of the restroom entrance is a big miss and needs to go away.) Parking seems to be a struggle in Middleton with a mix of parallel and "slant" parking. There's plenty of parking in the rear, too.
The menu is 80% the same as Tap House Social which is 5 minutes from our house. This was below expectations..
Our server is developing and needs more confidence. She stood back 2 feet from the table and looked afraid to approach. Another friendly server jumped in near the end and refilled water and soda, took plates and tidied up.
We ordered the pizza puffs to see what they were. In my opinion, I don't think they will last on the menu. Pizza puff is a circle cup with oil, herbs and cheese in the middle served with marinara. They were yummy but too much dough, hard to eat and drippy.
It was 50 minutes from being seated to receiving our meals. The filet was warmish - sides were hot. My smashburger and fries were perfect temp. This was below expectations.
The manager came over to say hi and very generously comped the filet meal. He offered to remake but we were already an hour invested in lunch and didn't want the added wait. This was above expectations.
We'll probably be back in a larger friend group - because someone else picked...

First visit 3 May 25 for the Kentucky Derby Watch event. They advertised special drinks, but our waitress didn't know what a Mint Julip was! Bartender got it right. I made the mistake to order my steak medium well as the mediums have been consistently rare in the middle across several FMK restaurants. The steak was dried and lack flavor.
I came back on 15 May 25 to give them another chance. This time I ordered the steak medium and it was perfect! Casey and Daniel were tending the bar and they are an amazing team! I showed up at 8:30 at night on a Thursday since The Villages' app said they were opened every day until 10pm. To my surprise, they were closing at 9pm. I still got my steak dinner and I was not rushed out the door when 9pm came. However, I overheard a few people come in shortly after 9pm looking for food and they were told the kitchen was closed. Two weeks later, The Villages' app still says they are opened every day until 10pm. I'm aware FMK doesn't own that app, but a persistent approach should had have it fixed by now. Fix the hours, keep nailing the medium steaks and I will adjust my review. ...
ย ย ย Read moreFor being a restaurant in the sporting event area, the kitchen is not trained nor is the staff (including management) prepared for a weekend with sporting events. This was evident by a server asking what was going on this weekend as we left.
We (7 parents) and our boysโ team (12 boys split between two tables and servers) came in to eat at 4:45 for the parents and 4:59 for the players. The parents and half the players were served by Andrea. The other 6 players were โservedโ by Kaysie. Everyone served by Andrea received their food in a timely manner considering how busy the restaurant was. The table that Kaysie handled didnโt not receive their food until we left an hour later in boxes.
The short, brunette, male manager had no intention of coming to speak with us as I had to call him over from him walking in the opposite direction to discuss the issue. He took zero accountability, he only made excuses. He claimed to comp half the bill but last I checked $88 is not half of $136. The only person who seemed to actually care about the issue was Andrea. Not a single manager nor Kaysie seemed to care in the slightest. They all left the responsibility to Andrea to handle. Absolutely horrible management and kitchen. Needless to say we will not...
