Coffee House Diner — Restaurant in Wilkesboro

My boyfriend and I have come here so many times before, and sometimes we had to wait to be greeted, but we were okay with that because we could tell that the servers were busy. We expected that today, but we didn't expect to be ignored when we decided to go this morning. We went in and sat down, like usual, but this time, we were never greeted. There was about the same amount of people in the restaurant as there usually is when we go, and the same amount of servers for the restaurant. There was a cashier this time too. We sat there for over five minutes, then my boyfriend went to grab a menu, thinking that it would remind them that we were there. It did not. Instead, I watched one of the servers grab a bite of a granola bar, put it back down, without washing her hands, and go directly to a table to get the tip money and back behind the bar. I am not sure which Coffee House and Waffle Shop this is asking me about but I can say that the Brushy Mountain Coffee House and Waffle Shop is the best out of the ones that I have eaten at. The one that I have tried that I would suggest steering clear of would be the location on Highway 18 North. That one is the one that I am giving the low score because that one is the one nearest my home which is why I assumed that it is asking me about that one. In all honesty it depends on who is cooking and if your order was written down properly or not. But definitely if you're going to go to a Coffee House and Waffle Shop and are not sure about the food I would suggest going to the one on Brushy Mountain Road it is right off of Highway 421 and usually has the best cooks and if you can get Shandie as your waitress she will do everything in her power to be sure you have a...

I should’ve known the service wasn’t going to be the best as soon as we sat down. There was only one table open which is understandable since it’s a busy morning. The waitress came and picked up the dishes but didn’t bother to wipe down the table or anything. I had to clean up the stickiness from all the syrup left over. After that we waited a good while before our food came out and I found a hair in my food. I don’t know about y’all but that’s disgusting. I noticed after that that none of the cooks are wearing anything to keep their hair out of their face. If you’re the owner and you’re reading this, do a better job of running the place.
