Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Willcox

The food was fresh, delicious and hot. The mashed potatoes could have used a little bit more gravy, but everything else was great, this time. Beware though, last time I stopped here, just for Popeyes, because I love the food, especially the spicy chicken sandwich, they were SO salty that after about 2 bites, I threw the sandwich and 2nd sandwich I bought for later, in the trash can. If I hadn't been several miles down the road, I would have demanded my money back. I only risked eating here this time because I stopped at the T/A for fuel and my grandkids were hungry, so I chanced it. Also, their prices are outrageous! I can buy a sit down dinner at a good restaurant for what a couple chicken strips, popcorn shrimp and a couple sides cost me here. They've also discontinued Popeyes iced tea, (which I usually purchase a gallon of,) jambalaya and Cajun rice (how can you still serve red beans and rice without rice, which I also usually order) and the green beans, which one of the kids wanted. But overall it was good and a pleasant experience this go round. The gentleman at the register seemed a little frazzled and stressed by the hectic pace, but was pleasant and did his job well. I wish I could give this review double the maximum amount of star ratings! We ate here for an early lunch on Saturday August 4th, 2018 and as always we were nothing less than amazed at the quality of this Popeye's Chicken!! 🍗🥧🤗 The lady who took our order exceeded the standard for fantastic customer service. 👏🏾 From beginning to end, we felt genuinely appreciated as customers choosing to spend our money with this restaurant. For that, we thank you so much. We've eaten at this popular restaurant chain all over the state and by far this Willcox location beats ALL other Popeye's hands down. Even though we eat here regularly as we travel 🚗to & fro on I-10, we have never had an unpleasant experience here. The smiles and professionalism are superb! The quality of all the menu items stay "true" to the brand and are served fresh, hot and flavorful.😋 Our orders are always accurate and we enjoy making this Popeye's our priority when passing through Willcox. This store should be the flagship for the brand theought the world. I ordered a 5 piece tender large combo with double red beans and rice the order came out to $23.44 which I used my TA points to pay which I have no issue paying however this location was in the process of closing but they allowed me to order which I was thankful here is my issue after I payed the lady behind counter then started giving out free chicken and sides to anyone that was close and I was still standing there waiting for my food now I have no issue paying but if you where planning to give the food away why even charge me or at least have enough respect to let me walk away before just giving food away after you already charged me almost 24 dollars I doubt this complaint means anything to anyone but I just wanted to pass along...
