Jersey Giant Subs — Restaurant in Williamston

Just stopped by to grab a few subs and questioned the decision to do so as soon as I pulled up. The outside appearance was mostly absent of indicators that this location was still actively open. While there was an “open” sign, I wondered if it was just the adjoining gas station displaying the sign. After telling the employee what I wanted, I noticed a fly land on the edge of the prep surface. Flys are a huge negative for me. I will not eat food that flys land on. After the fly moved further onto the prep surface, and then onto the uncovered tomatoes, I had to refuse the food. The employee did tell me that they “do their best” but I’ve seen flys leave live maggots on surfaces they land on. I simply can’t eat food that flys...

I am from out of town and was craving Subway on my ride home. I was in need of gas and seen the sign for this location on the highway, as well as, right near the gas station I filled up at. From start to finish I would rate this location better than any Subway I have ever been to. I seen the ladies working wash their hands and then put gloves on. They recommended a #8 which was an italian.. so i took their recommendation. There can't be enough said about freshness. The bread that I had was BEYOND soft.
