Worst customer service experience of my life. No exaggeration. Truly in shock.

On June 8th, I came to this restaurant with my mom and mother-in-law really looking forward to having a nice evening together. And we did-- despite the fact that the food and service were only okay, we made the most of it.

After waiting a while, I brought my check into the restaurant to pay and when asked how the experience was, I did note that it was only okay and my $12 drink was pretty watery. Nonetheless, we paid the full bill, and I handed our server a 20% cash tip upon leaving.

READ THIS: As we were about to leave the restaurant and I was waiting for my mom, an employee of the restaurant (who we think was the hostess) ran after us and yelled "IT'S SO RUDE NOT TO LEAVE A TIP FOR YOUR SERVER AFTER EVERYTHING THAT SHE DID FOR YOU". That is an exact quote. She then slammed the door in our face.

We were in complete and utter shock and in disbelief.

Once I realized what just happened, I went back in and told this employee that I handed our server the full 20% cash tip. I could tell that she realized that she screwed up but there was no apology and instead she said "oh I didn't know that" and she ran away never to be seen again. No apology. I have never been treated this way in my life.

I calmly asked the other younger male server that witnessed the situation for her name and to speak to a manager but he would not provide it. In fact, when I asked to speak to the manager or get the owner's contact, no one would provide any information.

Another employee came out and told me that there was no manager but I could explain what happened to her. I calmly went through the entire situation, once again totally baffled. Instead of an apology, she said to me that she HAD NOT HEARD THE OTHER PERSON'S SIDE YET! I could not believe this!!

Please note, we were completely cordial and nice to the server, enjoyed ourselves despite not loving the experience, paid our full bill and 20% tip, and were made to feel this way. I was not rude, loud, over the top etc. I was calmly explaining what happened while quite honestly almost in tears over how I was treated.

Truly worst customer service I have every experienced. I will be telling everyone I know to avoid this restaurant. I have never been made to feel this way in any restaurant. Our evening was ruined.

Avoid this restaurant at all costs. I hope the owner of this restaurant reads my review because no one would provide me with a contact of...

First off I'd like to say that when my wife and I get a chance to get away without children, how disappointing it is to have such a terrible experience at what is thought to be a higher end establishment. That being said our appetizers were horrible. The crab cakes had no flavor or seasoning at all. The crab meat was non existent and not fresh at all. We explained our dissatisfaction to our waitress, but she did not seem to care. She did apologize, but it did not seem sincere at all. We also ordered their "signature" wings. These were covered in a sweet jelly sauce that made our stomachs turn. Once again we said something to our waitress and it really did not seem to affect her at all. At this point any other restaurant would have had the manager come talk to us. Not here though. On to the entree.....well let's just say we were not willing to press our luck with the $40 to $50 plates. Honestly, we would have been better off going to McDonalds for our night out. My wife and I have visited many restaurants in the berkshires and others states as well as tropical islands and this is by far the worst place we have been. If you are thinking of going here....think again! Save yourself the disappointment and go down the road to Coyote Flaco, where the food is always excellent and they take care of their customers. I welcome the manager of this establishment to contact me and I will further explain our displeasure. Although it wont help our experience but maybe it will save others from a poor dining experience and ruined night. I had to rate this restaurant with one star to get this review posted, but it is not even worth...

I have been to 6 House Pub many times and have been satisfied, EXCEPT for tonight’s visit. Reservations were made for a party of 5 over the phone, only to arrive and our reservation wasn’t in their book. We did get seated shortly with no problem, but the server was terrible. She never told us her name or offered to tell us the specials - I had to ask. We were brought our appetizers and salads and soup, and the server did not communicate with us. All our dishes were left on the table in between courses, our server did not ask if we needed anything after placing our dinners on the table, she immediately left and we didn’t see her again until we were done with dinner. She did not come back to check on us to see if we needed anything. When she reappeared after dinner and asked if we wanted dessert, still no dishes were removed from the table and when she brought desserts back, she was looking for an open space to place it, at which point we started piling them in the middle ourselves! We were not alone in our dissatisfaction with the service, the table next to us went and got their own glasses of water while waiting to be served. And we saw people bringing their dishes to the bar and asking for their beverages. This just isn’t right. I’m not a complainer usually, but this visit was horrendous and I had to put it out there. The food was just “ok”. Not impressed and not going back for...

$10 dollars for mozzarella 'moons' and in the picture I get this. $2 dollars per stick, if I wanted mozzarella sticks, I would made the ones at home that I have a box of from Farm Rich that was $8 dollars for 30. I think it would be good idea to fix that on your menu, that way you are not misleading customers on what they are buying. I wouldn't have bought it if I was told what it was otherwise. I guess prices changed for the meals I ordered, but again, no incentive to update their menus. The second picture kind of infuriates me. People do want to work but are waking up to the fact they are paid poorly, receive minimal benefits, having bad insurance, etc. People are struggling to find an employer that treats them fairly and actually pays a livable wage. In this industry alone, it's okay and legal to push the burden onto me and customers to supplement the server's wage. It's becomes a moral obligation at that point to help the person out because the employer won't. Rather than complaining about people not wanting to work, you may want to practice self reflection. It may help you recognize strategies and solutions to your hiring issue.

We are from out of the area so while visiting MA we wanted to stop at as many restaurants as possible. This was by far my favorite of the week. We went here with a party of 6 for a birthday. Everyone was impressed! Excellent food, great portion sizes. Accommodating, friendly staff, fast service. Gorgeous, cozy, cottage-feel decor and atmosphere with plenty of visuals to look at around the restaurant. I took my left overs home and it was still so delicious the next day! Great wine, beer, and cocktails selections and the restaurant smells so nice because they have scented candles burning all over. We will definitely revisit 6 House Pub if we are in the area again!!

I’ve been coming to the 6 House Pub for years, first with my family and now with my boyfriend. I cannot write enough good things about it! The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is so lovely and thoughtful. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, especially after skiing (which is usually what I do before going to the pub.) My boyfriend and I just visited again last weekend, and we were treated in the best way all three nights we visited the pub. Be sure to get the New England Clam Chowder, cheese curds, wings, seafood pasta, chicken parm, and honestly literally anything on the menu, as it’s all delicious.
