I felt sorry for the owner because he was buy himself in the front.
However, I felt that the customers he knew were treated better.
I came in the same time as a couple of his regulars. He made sure their drinks were replenished. I had to ask for my drink to refilled.
The menu states that the pasta came with bread and seasoning oil. When my pasta arrived I didn't get the bread. I had to ask for it. It was delivered without the oil with the seasoning. The bread was store bought and not very good.
I knew their portions were big and I had said to the owner that I was going to take part of my salad home, so I was disappointed that I had to ask for take out containers. He brought them but with out a bag to carry them.
I would have thought he would have brought out the check with the containers, but he didn't. I put my food in a container and waited. A group of 8 walked in and because he knew them he made sure he took care of them.
I had to ask for my check. He brought me my check and I had to ask for a back.

Read moreThree of us went for dinner last night. The restaurant has expanded since we were there last. It's still small, which is nice, but if there is a nearby table with loud diners, it can be difficult to hold a conversation. That was the case last night. My wife had cheese ravioli and a small salad (which was large), our guest had shrimp ravioli in Alfredo sauce, and I ordered the same with a small salad. Even though it was only 6:00 pm, they only had one shrimp ravioli plate left (it was the special), so I had meatballs and spaghetti. They also brought salt and herbs for the warm bread, which we mixed with olive oil for dipping. We all enjoyed our meals, though I think the meatballs were commercial rather than home made. I had a delicious cannoli for desert (they were out of my first choice, turtle cream cake). Our server was exceptionally pleasant, and the owner visited our table, always...
Read moreOrdered chicken fettucine alfredo which was flavorless and tasted like jarred alfredo someone threw a little garlic and parmesan into to try and fool people, and they didn't salt the pasta water or use Seasonings at all aside from the dried parsley sprinkle on top. Also got a side salad that was cheap iceberg mix and cheap bottled dressingmade of soybean oil - not restaurant quality at all. My partner got the baked chicken lasagna and the cheese was so burnt into a congealed layer on the bottom that he couldn't cut through it, let alone chew it. We also never got the bread that's supposed to come with entrees. The server picked up our dishes and didn't say a word about all the uneaten food, just put the check on the table and walked away. Needless to say we won't be back and have no idea how this place has so many good reviews. Must be locals who...
