I feel bad for the 1 star because the owner is actually a nice, but this place is not what the pictures show. It is not authentic mexican food. This doesn’t matter as anyone can cook mexican food but the people who own this place are not mexican and the flavor shows. After one bite of my “carne asada” tacos i had to speak to the owner. They were topped with cheese that when i asked what kind of cheese he said it was “white cheese” i feel as it was expired or something because it had an awful smell and tasted extremely sour. The meat had a weird flavor that honestly made me gag (im not sure if it was because of the cheese though). After telling the owner he did offer to make me something else or more tacos without the cheese at no extra charge. He was extremely polite and after i denied anymore food he offered my money back. If looking for authentic mexican food DO NOT WASTE...
Read moreI've had the California Burrito a few months ago and the Asada Fries today. For a number of years, I had these exact dishes in southern California which is where they originate from. I've been disappointed both times now.
The guacamole and sour cream is just a runny sauce that they call said ingredients. I'm afraid to know what it really is.
The California burrito wasn't bad. This Asada fries is not entirely recommended. It's like they took the best food from southern california and tried to ruin it.
The portion sizes are quite large though. The Asada fries you'll probably not finish and the burrito is one full helping. For the prices, I'd expect at the very minimum, better guacamole...
Read moreThis restaurant is awful! Everything tasted like Indian food, which wouldn't be a problem if I had ordered Indian food. I ordered cow tongue, and got the same stew meat everyone said they got. The salsa tasted like it was from a can, and to be honest, their food isn't all that spicy unless you're not used to spice. The prices are inflated, and the owner was rude and not receptive to criticism. Lengua is my favorite Mexican dish, and I'd know it over any other part of the cow. If you want good Mexican food, go to Reyes they're clean, hardworking authentic Mexican food, and well worth the money. This...
