Pizza Ranch — Restaurant in Willmar

We stopped on our way through town, we’ve been to few locations recently and we will never go back to the one in Willmar. It was busy while we were there, but nothing crazy, plenty of open tables. Part of the pop was out, tasted terrible. We tried at least 3 flavors before finding one that was good yet. When we first arrived there was several pizzas out with only 2-3 pieces remaining, most never got refilled in the 45 minutes we were there. The dessert pizza section had 5 pieces when we arrived and never got refilled in the time we were there. A few pizzas came out while we were there but of course they were gone in seconds. Another customer made a comment that it was always like that at this location.

This location was over $12 more expensive than other locations we’ve been to in the last few weeks, it was the same time of day and same amount of people.

It was very dirty, my son is 4 and got on the floor to pick something up and it was disgusting, more than just the current days mess. Around the edges by the wall was really bad, there was food that had been there a long time. My husband said the mens bathroom was gross. Nobody clear plates at all while we were eating in the entire dining room that I could see.

We left hungry, which is sad considering the price and that it is a buffet. Very disappointing. Do not recommend and we will not be back to...

I realize that when we went that it was a slower part of the day, and I understand what it is like to run short staffed. However while we were the not one person stopped by our table to clear plates, to ask about our experience, or touch base in any form. My mom had to ask 4 times for things to be restocked on the buffet and the reply she got was the person in charge of that was on break, like there was no one else that could do it. After some time we did get to speak to the manager and all she had was excuses about the slow time and being short staffed and some half hearted understanding that what we were asking to be restocked was easy to make. The pizza we ordered was missing toppings and the food on the buffet was either old and crusty or out. She offered zero accommodations for our experience and didn't even seem sorry that we were displeased. The only pleasant part of the whole thing was the young man at the register. Always enjoy taking the grandchildren to Pizza Ranch and our experience is usually very pleasant until today! All were excited to finally be able to visit Pizza Ranch after the pandemic shut down! We went around 12:45ish on a Saturday. The restaurant, physically, was very clean and we were pleased they were following Covid safety rules! Thank you! Besides that, there were only two pizzas out when we arrived and no additional pizzas were brought out! They did keep the other hot table well stocked. The salad bar was very messy and it appeared as if children had been playing in it. We waited and waited for dessert pizza but it was never brought out. Needless to say, our first return visit , post Covid shutdown was disappointing. This is not typical for Willmar's Pizza Ranch!
