Johnny's Italian Dining — Restaurant in Wilmerding

What an A M A Z I N G EXPERIENCE at this gem in Wilmerding. I tagged along with my sister and her friend because there was a live R&B solo performance by “Quan”, along with dinner. Fantastic Vocals and Music! The food was 🔥. Our lovely table of five ordered fried zucchini, fried mozzarella, and fried calamari for apps. Simply Delicious 😋. For my solo entrees(yes plural), I ordered the 8 oz. tenderloin with sautéed mushrooms, and the Chicken Farm Alfredo. Both entrees came with two sides each so I ordered the sautéed spinach, risotto, sausage, and meatballs. When I tell you the food was AMAZING, that’s just what it was. Everything down to the homemade marinara sauce that came with apps and my sausage and meatballs. So tender and flavorful, the creaminess of the risotto. Everything was perfect. Like, our server was very upbeat, attentive, and appreciative. The servers are all in sync and will box up any leftovers. Now, the performance and ambiance…Wow! Fantastic vocals, music, and a crowd that will light up the most boring of parties. Trust me, there are no wallflowers here. The ladies, and some gentlemen were “getting their boogie on”. Second time here in the last year, just very disappointed in our experience last night and the recurring theme of long wait times. We had reservations for a party of 8. We arrived at about 7:15, but everything took a very long time. When we arrived it was peak hour, every table was full and the wait staff was running around so we were patient and understanding. We have worked customer service we get it. After 8, the place started to clear out and we still did not receive our food until 9.. almost 2 hours later. Once we did get our food, 3/4 of the way through my food I noticed two small curly black hairs baked into my chicken Romano. I was sick to my stomach after having eaten almost all of it, then finding hair.. Again, we have all worked customer service so we get it, sh*T happens, but when it does happen to you it completely disgusts and kills your vibe. They were extremely accommodating and kind about it, took the meal off our check and offered to remake it, but it was too far gone at that point to want anything else. On the bright side, salads, soup, appetizers were all amazing and no issues. My lady friend and I decided to treat ourselves, actually my treat (I'm old school and we're old)! We decided on Johnny's and what a great decision and treat it was. We both had the 6oz. filet plus I had a S. African Lobster Tail with mine. They were both undescribably delicious! I also started with Oysters Rockefeller and a cup of Wedding Soup. Even the broccoli I had was the best and I eat alot of broccoli! She had pasta and a salad with hers. After all, she's Sicilian! Even the bread was the best! It was the most enjoyable and satisfying meal that I've ever had. What an amazing experience it was! Our server Luke was as professional as they come!
