Abe's Old Fashioned Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Wilmington Township

Visiting from out of town 6/ 2020. I drove to the place on way back from taking my grandkids to pymatuning. My mother said she enjoyed the ice cream. This was the worst ice cream I've ever had. We ( mother and I) ordered peanut butter and both my grandkids ordered bubble gum. Our peanut butter had NO TASTE at all. It was like licking plain ice. My mother stated in the past it had chocolate/ peanut butter chunks. This ice cream had nothing. We threw it away. My grandkids refused to eat theirs after the first few bites. Ice cream had to be pretty bad when it's child critics that refuse ice cream. Was a total waste of money. My mother stated she used to enjoy their ice cream. Maybe things have gone south....I don't know but in my opinion this ice cream place should not be...

Very sorry it took me five years to get here! It's such a little hole in the wall (practically literally) that I never bothered to stop until tonight on one of my regular trips through New Wilmington. I had one of their Smore Delites (essentially their version of a Blizzard). I got the smaller size (the regular) and finished about half and saved the rest for tomorrow ... it's quite rich! Can't wait to try more things on their menu ... I see they have a Snickerdoodle...

This is the best place for ice cream hands down! I highly recommend the cookie dough custard delight with cookie dough mixed throughout. It's my favorite! My daughters also have a love for Abe's with their own favorite flavors. If you get the chance to stop here please do not pass it up! It's truly amazing and a very friendly environment with great service. Trust me that you don't want to pass...
