Sams Meats & Deli — Restaurant in Wilmington

They were out of corned beef so I could not get a reuben. After 20 minutes I started waiting in line to ask where my food was. People who ordered some time after me were receiving their food. Finally at 27 minutes I was able to ask where my food was. The employee explained that on Friday it gets busy. Then she took a duplicate of the receipt straight to the kitchen. The cook was upset, I saw him through the window. So it was not that it was Friday they misplaced my order then lied to me about it. Like I am dumb enough not to know. The hamburger my wife ordered without cheese cane with cheese. We made a point of them understanding that my wife is allergic when we ordered.

I cannot recommend...

1st time and the last time I will going to Sams Meats & Deli. We arrived @ 3:15pm and the grill was closed @ 3p.m. starved to death we went ahead and ordered from their already hot foods that I thought looked to old to be serving, we had mashed potatoes and gravy (boxed), meatloaf, and green beans. Best part of the meal was the green beans. Luckily my spouse and I shared the meal cause again the food looked old and dried up from sitting there all day. The meatloaf immediately gave hubby a sore throat, not sure if they used an ingredient that he's allergic to or what. The employees where nice, but just not as good as the 5 star reviewer's said they where... I definitely don't recommend going after...

Friendly staff and their food is delicious! The wait time isn't bad for your food, they normally stay busy though so there's typically a line, which is obviously a good thing 😉 The inside is always clean and comfortable. They have television on for your entertainment and also have an indoor/outdoor seating area as well, which is my personal favorite spot to eat when I "dine in". Id have to say my favorite is their Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes & gravy and mac n cheese. 🤤 I honestly find myself craving their food about once a week. If they weren't 40 minutes away from me I'd be in there way more often than I am. Love...
