This is one of the best Golf & Country Clubs in Eastern NC. It is a semii-private club for members and their guests, but if you can get a coupon on line to play this club if you look hard enough. They do it rarely, so jump on it if you find a coupon to play here. If no discount coupons are available call the club direct. I played here 4 years ago with a coupon. And recently was lucky enough to be invited to play in 18 Hole Tournament. The greens are in top shape along with the fairways. Read moreI didn't go into the club house. The carts were nice. They even had a usb connection for your phone or other electronic device. The tee boxes and fairways were well manicured. The greens appeared to have been air raided recently so they were a little hard to read, but they seemed to be well manicured as well. It was my first time playing at this course and I loved it. It has character. Some challenges but fair. Well maintained cart paths. I look forward to playing golf here again. I highly recommend this place. Actually I give it a 4.6. NOW if you have not played there before here are your problems:
Zero signage in the clubhouse, walk the halls till your heart is content. Zero layout on the card, zero layout on the tee boxes and zero map/gps in the carts. So you have no idea where the dog legs go, or if there are bunkers behind the greens, and most holes are dog legs. So if you are not with a person familiar with the course, you are screwed.
Little things mean a lot. I am sure Mr McConnell will take care of some of these...
