Excellent and sophisticated restaurant. Highly recommend a reservation. They don't serve alcohol, but you can bring your own. I got the chef's special, which was excellent. We had a reservation for 15 people, and our server. Joe was excellent. We did have one person in our group that is always particular and has been known to send their food back to be remade multiple times. They made a special request and were pleased with it and surprisingly did not have anything sent back! They have gluten-free dessert options. One thing I would like to point out is that the cobbler does have strawberries in it so if you have a strawberry allergy I would avoid that. It wasn't specifically stated on the menu but we did inquire about it someone at our table had a severe allergy. When we were told that it did have strawberries in it, we encouraged them to update the menu so that people are aware.

What a lovely brunch experience at La Bella Pearl! The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful — classy but comfortable, the kind of place you can sit back, sip your coffee, and just enjoy the moment. The staff was so friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right from start to finish. The made-to-order waffles and omelets were out of this world — fresh, light, and full of flavor. You can really tell they take pride in what they serve. Every plate that came out looked picture-perfect. If you’re looking for a spot that combines upscale dining with warm Southern hospitality, La Bella Pearl is it. Beautiful setting, top-notch food, and service that makes you feel right at home.

We had a party of 6 for dinner during busy sewanee parents weekend.. our service, meal and atmosphere were all absolutely amazing! The antipasta bar is by far the best Mediterranean salad bar I've ever had! All our entrees were fresh, delicious and arrived hot! Our server was so attentive. We received a piece of cheesecake on the house and wow! Dessert was the perfect icing on the cake of a delightful culinary experience. We will be back and also tell our friends of this fabulous place. Thank you Cynthia and your team! Leslie Aclin

We went for a late Valentine's Day dinner on a Saturday night. The food was excellent and I felt the price was great for the quality and taste of the meal. I truly enjoyed the New York strip with portables, garlic mashed potatoes, and chard, and my significant other's jalapeno chicken pasta was great as well. For dessert, we opted for the flour-less chocolate cake with homemade ice cream. Neither of us had had a flour-less cake before, and weren't entirely sure what to expect, but it was one of the best deserts I've had.

The reason for a missing star is the service we had, and I must say, I think it was just our specific waitress, as all other tables seemed to be receiving prompt service. Unfortunately, other patrons sharing our waitress seemed to be missing out and were silently complaining at their tables similar to us. Our glasses were left empty for much of the night, we were not offered anything other than water, after bringing us our food, we weren't checked on again until about 3/4 the way through dinner, and we were left the check before we had even started eating our dessert. We did not receive service after that.

Based on the great food, reasonable price, and seemingly good service at other tables, I plan to return...

Pearl's was the most wonderful surprise on our trip down to Atlanta this evening. My husband and I were coming from Nashville and did not want a "fast food" dinner. He remembered a place from his childhood called Pearl's and we decided to take a chance. I'm glad we did!

We ordered a little of everything and split it - gnocchi, caesar salad (with the best homemade dressing I've ever had), fried pickles in wonton wrappers (so crispy and not too heavy or oily), cheeseburger (cooked perfectly and so fresh) and finished the meal with the BEST bread pudding I've ever had (and I've had my fair share)!

The owners were so kind and told us they took this over about 2 years ago. Our waiter Ray was very friendly and attentive. My only wish for Pearl's is that it was closer to Nashville. But I don't think we'll ever go to Chatt or ATL without making a pit stop here. Excellent food and warm environment - thanks...

We all ordered the chef specials. The main courses arrived about an hour and twenty minutes later and were just warm. Two of the entrees were fish and warm fish is unacceptable. The other entree was steak and lamb and they were just warm, too. We alerted the waitress and asked to just pay for the salads and soup we'd eaten and forget the rest. A woman came from the kitchen and tried to explain the food had come out right after being plated and may have only waited two or three minutes before being served. I doubt this because the fish wasn't hot. She said the food took so long because they were short staffed. The restaurant wasn't full when we got there but it was almost so when we left. This appears that they accepted more reservations than they could handle. I gave them two stars because the soup and salad bar were good. The rest may be good on a fully staffed night but I doubt I'll be back...
