Winchester Dairy Bar — Restaurant in Winchester

I was passing through the town of Winchester & saw the Dairy Bar & thought I'd give it a try . I got 2 foot long hotdogs with all the fixin's . Really good chili with a nice sweeter taste . I usually go 5 alarm hot & thought this would be a nice change of pace & I was not disappointed . They have a walk up window to order & pick up from & a nice covered shady area outside with picnic tables for your eating pleasure . A really nice menu selection to choose from & a nice selection of ice cream & Amish pies to choose from . All in all a wonderful experience in a nice small town . Sadly places like this are disappearing & in their place corporate garbage all the same fast food places are replacing them . Stop in & buy some food . Really friendly staff . Come on everyone let's keep this one around for a long time to come . They deserve it , we need it . I live 53 miles from there . I ate & immediately hit the road for Cincinnati but I will drive the 106 mile round trip for more of that kind of food . Thank you Winchester Dairy Bar . You are awesome & mark my words...

This place has such good food but the rudest employees. We haven't been there in a long time because of the rude employees. Thought we'd try it again. Walked up, looked at menu board. Two girls were busy in conversation so they totally ignored us. Opened the window, never said hi, can I help you, nothing. So we said what we wanted. She turned to the calculator and then told us the total. She brought our order to the window and it was wrong. She was rude again. While waiting we saw a sign of daily specials. So we decided on the daily special. The total was a lot more so we said it's the daily special. The girl said she didn't know it was a special. We got our second order. These girls never said hi, bye, please or thank you. The only words they spoke were the total of each order, I thought you said cup not cone and I didn't know it was a special. They need some serious customer...

Food is too expensive and not good enough to warrant the price. Staff was extremely rude to my girlfriend after asking a basic question about one of their milkshake flavors — coffee — and upon receiving it we found that it was just a pain vanilla shake. My shake was also not mixed very well and was basically just another vanilla (I ordered peanut butter). The lady at the window was extremely nice and talkative to the people ahead of us in line, and we were taken aback by her stark shift in personality once we got up to the window. Would not recommend this place ever.
