AD's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Windsor Locks

Having just moved to the area we knew we'd have to find a pizza shopcomparable to Tony's in the Pine Point section of Springfield. We thought we'd play it safe with a couple toasted steak and cheese grinders with peppers and onions from AD's. When I picked them up they were hot and huge, I realized we could have gotten away with just one. Unfortunately the meat was very overcooked and tasteless. It was really bad and hardly edible, I should have taken them back. We were very disappointed, the other $12 grinder was thrown out. Our first experience being a bad one we'll likely never order from AD's again.

We did give AD's another try and I'm sure glad we did. In fact we've been back several times since for their amazing pizza. In the past the toppings have always been what I enjoyed and focused on but not so with AD's. They have the best sauce and crust I have ever had in my life. And I've eaten pizza in more countries than I can remember. The sauce is clearly home made and a family recipe. Changed my rating to 4 stars due to my unfortunate...

What a pleasant find and experience when the rest of our night was going so horribly. On October 14th my sister, nephew, and I were in town for one night on our way back to Hawaii early the next morning. We were staying near by and needed a meal before getting to bed for an early morning flight. We walked in not expecting much as it was dark out and it looked more like just a bar from a distance. Boy were we wrong! Being from Hawaii we generally don't get the quality of pizza that you find on the east coast. I understand that and appreciate pizza on the east coast. This may have been the best pizza I have had in my life! In addition to that the gentleman serving us was friendly and made us feel very welcome in there. The prices were great too. I only wish that we weren't so far away. I definitely want to return to eat and have a few drinks there some day. The only knock I have on the place is that being a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan I found it difficult sitting there surrounded by all that black, white, and gold. :)

Ordered a pizza and I was very displeased with the quality and service . The bottom of the pizza was all black and charred . The crust looked patchy and undone. It looked very rushed and unappealing . So when I brought the pizza back I received a attitude automatically because I was displeased with the foods presentation. This male cook started raising his voice at me And I’m a female. so then I just changed my mind about the whole thing and just wanted my money back and there was a battle about that. I am a paying customer It shouldn’t be a problem to please a customer I’ve worked in customer service for 13 years I couldn’t imagine handling someone the way I was treated last night.
