I came in on Saturday 7/19/25, waited in line for over 40 min. to get to the order window, and place the order for my self and my wife, and when i got there i asked if there was any waffle cones left, and told there was 3 so my wife and i ordered, ans as he was making my wifes ice cream some one came to the window next to me about 5 mins. latter and they ordered 3 waffle cones. so after waiting over 40 min. and placing my order he bring my wifes ice cream to the window and then tells me there is no more waffle cones. and yes seems line a small little thing to complain about but after waiting 40 min., and being told there was 3 and then ordering to have someone else take them 5 min after i order is a big thing for customer service. I don't for see me coming here again.
In reply to the response. The people the ordered the 3 waffle cones I told them to go to the open windows becouse they were to busy talking to pay attention to what was going on. And my order was placed before they even went to the window. I was standing right next to them . They were at the last window. And I was at the 2nd to last. Window. And I watched you grab all 3 waffle cones at the same time for 3 soft...
Read moreFirst things first: the ice cream was bad. My Peanut Butter Iditarod was riddled with ice crystals and had an unpleasant pea soup taste. My guess: that batch had been around a while and was probably frozen and unfrozen too many times.
The atmosphere however was truly unique. While I waited in line I watched planes and helicopters land and take off at the airport across the street. There was a huge crowd waiting for ice cream and everyone was in lively spirits, so the place has a wonderful vibe. I would say it's an excellent spot for a date... As long as neither of you plan to eat your ice cream.
Maybe my experience was a fluke. Maybe the owners will see this and rotate their stock a little better. I don't think my review is going to hurt this place, which is good because a lot of people like it. Sometimes a place can gain a legendary status where people associate it so strongly with good memories that they don't notice when the quality slips... Then a guy from out of town looking for some good ice cream to end the night...
Read moreI found this place purely by accident. I went in with low expectations having never heard about it before being new to the area, thinking the name was a bit too similar to Dairy Queen and it is very unassuming looking, but I was blown away. My favorite flavor by far is Graham Central Station, which I’ve only ever had and enjoyed at J. Renee in Avon. I figured I would give their version a try expecting it to be an ‘okay’ substitution, but it was every bit as good if not even better than J. Renee’s. The ice cream base was rich, creamy, and perfectly flavored and the chocolate covered graham cracker pieces were light and crunchy. The hot fudge was thick and rich and the perfect addition. We also got their moose tracks and plain vanilla and both were superb. It is unfortunate that I stopped by three days before they closed for the season because now I have to wait until spring for them to open again! I will definitely be making this my go-to...
