Bunn's Barbecue — Restaurant in Windsor

They don't take credit cards, it's 2022! They're are so many apps that you can use for transactions. Venmo, cashapp...Anyways we got our bbqs I went to open them up and put on hot sauce before I knew about cash only policy. These were very small bbqs. I'm from Currituck County,NC ( farther east.) We have Currituck BBQ in our town and they're sandwiches have a bigger bun and more weight. Tons of sides! Different size bbqs and more options, bigger portions! The sandwiches at bunn's reminded me of a kids portion. When we walked in we weren't greeted or directed in anyway we just kind of figured it out ourselves and then couldn't even eat. Since I didn't get to taste I gave 2 stars bc it might be delicious but I don't know. I'm a small woman and would have to order...

Don't let the reviews fool you, that's what happened to me. Leading me to come here for a quick bite. I'm not from around the area so I might not be used to this kind of cooking style but the potato salad was flavorless, the Coleslaw was sour ish, the BBQ Chiken was Ok. The Chicken was soft but the BBQ sauce I'm used to is sweet, this sauce was more on the sour side as well. Again, it might be me not used to this style of cooking but the food, in my opinion, was not good. I cant recommend this place. Service...

Good BBQ, Slaw and awesome Brunswick Stew! I stumbled into Bunns kind of randomly while driving through on the Interstate. Definately worth the short detour for some good food and local culture. Bunns has been around since 1938 and it has the charm to prove it.
