Mookie’s Smokehouse — Restaurant in Winfield

I ordered a week or so ago. The young girl was nice over the phone, but when I went to pay for my order, an older woman rudely “helped” me. She slammed the door open when I walked up, although it took her 5 minutes to realize I walked up. I could see her on the phone with someone on her cellphone. When she realized she rolled her eyes, and said can I help you I said I was picking up for me and gave her my name. She was so rude about my money and then proceeded to slam the door back in my face before I could walk off!!!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS. NO HOSPITALITY, NO MANNERS OR ANYTHING!!! She should NOT be working with customers!!! The tip jar barely had any money, and I’m sure they wonder why!! I’ve spoke with others about their experiences with her and they’ve all went elsewhere with their business!! TO DIE FOR!!! Must visit!!!

We were on our last leg of our move from CA to FL and decided it was time to visit a local place. Mookie’s did not disappoint in any way. From the warm greeting, incredible hospitality and genuine friendliness we were recommended a few plates. The chicken wings were by far the best we had ever eaten, pulled pork was exceptional and the chicken, ribs and loaded potato were equally delicious. The beans and coleslaw were like nothing we had ever tasted. You can tell they cook with love, it shines through their food. We are as excited to try the strawberry lemonade cake, but ate too much lunch so will be a sweet treat during our next gas stop. I would gladly give this place 5 stars if y'all weren't always forgetting my white sauce. I'm a local and love the pulled pork. I order from here once a week. I'm completely addicted to the white sauce, it's just amazing. That's why I ALWAYS ask and pay for extra white sauce and everytime I eat from here. But if we don't check the bag before leaving, chances are, we won't get any white sauce. Also I've tried calling orders in a few times and the phone seems to be off the hook alot. Once I called every single 60 seconds for 10 full minutes and got a busy signal. I'm positive it doesn't take that long to place an order. Honestly if the food wasn't so amazing, I would be so fed up with the unnecessary nonsense and choose to eat elsewhere. If ya'll can make these issues better, I'll gladly change or update...
