The restaurant is a cute little place and looks very clean. The guy at the counter is very friendly and nice and I enjoyed talking with him. I ordered a chimichanga and was surprised at what I got. I've never had one like this before in my life. Their version of a chimichanga is two small, soft flour tortillas with shredded beef inside, covered with what I'm guessing is sour cream, lettuce, a slice of tomato on top and creamy re-fried beans. I've had chimichangas in real Mexican restaurants in the past and they were nothing like what I just described. An authentic Mexican chimichanga (that I've had) was made with a large flour tortilla filled with seasoned shredded beef, cheddar cheese, refried beans on the inside not the outside but this might be a preference. The tortilla is folded then deep fried. A white cheese is poured on top of the chimichanga, a bed of lettuce is laid on top with chopped tomatoes (not a slice) and served with sour cream and guacamole on the plate or on the side along with rice. I've even made my own and they're not hard to make, just takes time. The chimichanga is basically a deep fried burrito. Maybe the restaurant DOES fry these and maybe I should have asked. I will say that the rice and creamy beans were very good. I do recommend this restaurant simply for the atmosphere and friendly staff. They have a lot of items to choose from...
Read moreWe really enjoyed our 1st trip to Fiesta. It's wonderful to have a new food choice in town! Very tasty and generous portions in a clean and inviting atmosphere! Prices are average to other Mexican eateries. One reviewer said the service was not very attentive, and we probably had the same older waiter. True enough, he was a bit slow on returning to check on us. That same reviewer also stated the owner didn't greet them, due to not having "lighter skin". 🤷♀️🤦♀️ We didn't get a personal table greeting from the owner either. He did walk past us, to go greet a few other tables. Those other patrons had "darker skin" and another had "lighter skin" but we didn't take it as a slight or a racial issue.🤦♀️🤦♀️ I think he was just randomly picking tables to stop at. Guess you just can't please "everyone". I definitely recommend this restaurant!! Ignore...
Read moreUPDATE: unfortunately as of August 28th this local attraction has continued to go downhill. It is difficult to spend $50 at most Mexican restaurants without drinks, however having accomplished this and not gotten a phenomenal meal, quite pathetic. Knowing that there are other local places that have less on offer, but somehow still offer more, this place has lost my business. Hopefully they will upgrade in the future, but for now they struggle to achieve the single star that I've offered.
Excellent food! Who doesn't look at the local Mexican restaurant and wonder if it's worth it? This one is. Great food and service, and while I like heat to my spice and others may not, they also focused on the food's flavor. There are definitely options for every level of heat. Thank you...
