All I can say is… WOW!🤩 What an incredibly unexpected dining experience! 😋😋 Unmistakably offering delicious, high quality ingredients, a medley of exciting flavors and an array of mouth watering items to choose from. The prices were so reasonable and easy on the pocket that you would not expect to find this quality and atmosphere along this small town Hwy 40 in Winona- a town of less than 200 from what I’ve been told.

I had the Bang Bang Chicken Salad.😋 My husband had the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with Tatter tots. 😋 It was obvious from the presentation as well as the first bite that the ingredients are fresh and the Chicken was plump and tender. The sauce was so good on the Chicken- I did not need any dressing- I would suggest just extra bang bang sauce if preferred! We also ordered the Spicy Fried Pickles and Jalapeño Bottle caps😋 THE BEST fried pickles. WOW! The fried items were flavorful and NOT GREASY which makes them even better.

To top off our dining experience- It’s a wonderful warm atmosphere inside and out. Family dining with warm hospitality from owners, staff and patrons. The owner is the chef and happy to engage in conversation as well as share his crafting genius in choosing and creating the menu items. Gosh! I just can’t say enough about this wonderful little cafe! Make sure to stop by and enjoy the experience and be sure to share- this little cafe deserves EVERY ACCOLADE! Even if your far from Winona, I promise you the food and small town experience will be well worth the detour...

If you ever come across this place, DO NOT DRIVE BY. Make sure you stop in and try everything you can. I had the Philly cheese steak sandwich and their made to order hand cut fries, which was perfect in every aspect. The gentleman sitting in front of me was having a perfectly cooked steak. This cozy place was bustling with friendly locals and everyone knew each other. The waitress's daughter was sitting at the bar and she was greeting everyone and saying goodbye to all that was leaving. Before I was about to leave I overheard the owner state that he used to work somewhere where they made pies so I definitely had to order a piece of peanut butter pie to go and I'm glad I did cause that was the best piece of pie I ever had. I definitely tip my hat to everyone there who made that lunch a very unforgettable stop on my travels. And if you do stop in just don't forget to tip their awesome...

Called ahead and ordered on our way through to CO. Made it to the restaurant in less than 15 and everything was already done and waiting for me. Pleasant and quick exchange, food was fresh and delicious, and they provided the best chicken strips I’ve had in awhile.

Spent 38$ + tip on food for 7 people - largest chicken strip basket(hand breaded and delicious) w/ double fries, (homemade and also delicious) mozzarella sticks, (yummy) cheddar bites, (delicious crispy coating with a kick- they were GREAT with their yummy ranch) and potato skins (delicious and hot, great sized, plenty of toppings and perfectly salted).

They were busy in what was seemingly the middle of nowhere in the middle of a 100 degree day, I think that speaks for itself... Kudos to the owners and staff, it was...

Truly astounding to find food this good in the middle of nowhere. We only stopped in because it was next to our motel and because they have an outdoor dining area. (road trip with dog) Oh, my! The patty melt and hamburger were unparalleled anywhere. Fresh Kansas beef. Never frozen, the server said. Seared on a grill. Simply the best. The homemade french fries! Stuff of dreams. I also loved the homemade ranch dressing on my salad and pie for dessert. Add a cold beer and you'll never eat better, anywhere. It was so good, we routed our trip to return the same way so we could stop in again. My only regret was not trying the Sunday special instead of a repeat burger. Next time, Winona!

If you are on Highway 40, West of I-70, this is the place to stop and eat. In fact it might be the only place to stop and eat! I love hamburgers. "The Cafe" has burgers, lots of kinds of burgers. My wife got one of the 1/2 pound burgers and a side order of fries. I got a cheese burger and tots off the kid's menu. Both we very good. (and mine had plenty of food) If you want something else they probably serve it. I saw lots of different kinds of dinners being served to other customers while we were there.
