Arrived with a large group around 6:45, and we stood outside at the window with the 'open' sign for service with 2 other sets of people in front of us for about 10 minutes. Workers ran past the window many times, and no one said that only the inside was open for service until I knocked on the glass to stop one of the girls to take orders. We were at the outside window because the inside was very crowded. She informed us we needed to go inside to order. So we get in line, and it's almost 7. The line seems to be moving. There are cheesesteaks, fries, burgers & ice cream rolling out of the kitchen and being served at the tables. We are a group of 15, that's 8 adults & 7 children. We are ordering food & ice cream. They get to us to order at 7:20, and we have the kids' orders together, cheesesteaks, chicken fingers, burgers, grilled cheese, etc. The girl tells us the grill is closed and we can't order anything unless it's fried. We cooperate and order some fried options but not as much as if we we're able to order glrilled food as well. There were 4 groups within my large group. They got to the last order in our group around 7:30ish and she tells us the fryer is now closed too. They proceeded to give us our food in to go bags as if we weren't allowed to eat inside. There was a lot of eye rolling and ignorance towards us from them. I suppose we were ruining their Saturday night plans with our Saturday night plans to not rush around. I ordered $65 in food & ice cream for only 3 of us. I know the others in my group spent around the same or more. But more money could've been made if it wasn't for the snotty teenage girls running the place rolling their eyes and huffing & puffing at us and the inconvenience we caused for them by supporting a small local business. We were even done, and one of the girls told us they gave us our food to go because we need to leave since...
Read moreI never write reviews but was compelled to write this after possibly the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant (they are a restaurant with servers, sit down, etc).
Decided to finally stop in after years of passing this place on the way to or from the shore. I have no idea what is going on with the staff there. Food was good, pricy... but I expect that given the location and shore crowd they attract.
Our server had no idea what was going on... and us and the table behind us on the patio joked that she may not even have known where she was.
After a long wait (the table behind us was seated after us with a different server and got their food before ours) we got our food. She got pretty much our entire order wrong, dropped off all of our food (apps, meals and dessert) at once after she told us to just order everything at once she had it under control. The food wasnt right, items were wrong, missing things, etc. We asked for refills and tried to be polite and wait for her to come back....
SHE NEVER RETURNED. Nope not the whole time. Not to bring refills, check on food, drop the check. NOTHING. So we were starving and said screw it and ate what we got. When it came time to pay after sitting there for 15 mins waiting for something after we were done eating... we walked inside to the counter. She was up at the counter on her phone laughing w her other coworker friends. Didnt ask how it was, ring us out or anything.
BILL WAS $75! I left her $5 out of courtesy... but I will never be back and would recommend others to find different options as this appears to be run by HS kids just having fun and way to pricy for that kind of service...
Read moreIce cream was amazing. Mozzarella sticks were undercooked. The girl who waited on us brought out fries out way before our burgers so when they did come the fries were cold. Our waitress had absolute filth under her nails. When she handed my son his ice cream and I saw all the black under her nails it made me cringe. Absolutely disgusting. The girl couldnt have been any nicer but the filth under her nails Absolutely needs to be addressed. The women In the front were friendly but they were playing around joking and laughing which is fine but there was one woman In particular who was so loud it was making my autistic child a nervous wreck. Talk about obnoxious. He kept getting up and going to the bathroom just to escape her loud mouth. Also there was a older man who was cleaning the tables, he was staring hard, almost standing on top of us just waiting for a dirty dish or cup. His just kept reaching onto our table and was trying to take our food before we were even done with it. I had to tell him 3x we weren't done yet. He took my drink from right in front of me before I was even done but by that point I had enough and needed to just leave. There is a heater/air conditioner that blows strong gusts of wind when you open the door and this man kept going in and out and in and out of that door while we were eating so the gusts of wind in our faces wasn't exactly comforting. I was insulted by this man. He made us extremely uncomfortable. Bottom line is the food was OK but I'd never go back there. 75 bucks for 2 burgers 2 fries and 2 ice creams. My son's $10 ice cream bowl was mostly whipped cream. Not worth the...
