A MUST TRY!!

I came here on 2/10/21 and 2/11/21 for lunch with a co worker. Other colleagues had so many wonderful things to say about this place and was eager to try it.

COVID: Masks/face covering is required. Staff were wearing them. Every other booth is closed for social distancing

Establishment: When you go inside, it gives off diner vibes. You can tell it’s homey. Inside there is about 4-5 booths available (due to COVID), plus countertop seating.

2/10/21 Experience: We came around 2:30pm. It was a late lunch and not very busy. The waitress for each visit was very friendly! We ordered onion rings as an app the first time. They came out so fast and they were HOT and delicious!! I ordered popcorn shrimp with double hush puppies (as I don’t eat slaw), and fries. Man, let me tell you. I wasn’t expecting so much food!! I had enough to take home. We didn’t even need the onion rings. My co worker got the catfish. I tried it and it was PERFECTLY cooked!! I mean, it was delicious!! The sweet tea that I got was great

2/11/21 Experience: We enjoyed the food SO much on 2/10, we came back again! This time, it was about 12:30pm and it was a bit busier. They had people waiting for take out, but thankfully, a booth was available for us. I got the fried chicken as it was on special for $8.95. You legit get a whole chicken (breast, thigh, leg, and wing) plus 2 sides, and a bread (cornbread, Texas toast, or roll). I got cornbread as my bread. My sides were cabbage and mashed potatoes. The food came out very quick! Maybe 5 mins and it was hot! My co worker got the chicken too, but got cabbage and Mac n cheese as a side and Texas toast.

Overall: I HIGHLY recommend. You will definitely get your money’s worth! Staff was very friends and the ambiance is great. This may be our new go to spot! I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu items! I know I want to see how their...

So disappointed in a restaurant that I frequent quite often because it is convenient to my work location and generally has a wide variety of foods available! Today is not the first day that I have been disappointed, but today was the first day that I felt the need to share this experience with others and also being the last time I would spend my money in this restaurant! So I treated my parent to breakfast after they had been in New York City with my youngest daughter for the week! They live in Walkertown, North Carolina, and they are not a plethora of restaurants available to sit down for breakfast! We all ordered platters, but my dad ordered grits with his. My 73 year-old Dad immediately complained about the grits, but we were so consumed in eating the other foods, I did not readily help him w/ his order! He attempted to doctor them up, added some butter added , etc. and still complained about how horrible they were and that this is not how we me grits in the south! So as we were boxing our food up, I threw myself and tasted the grit. I almost spit them out. They were so disgusting. When I asked the waitress about exchanging them out for another side, her response was that we waited too long and that they could no longer exchange them for something else! I’ve never heard of this before my life if anyone has any explanation for this sort of response? Please let me know! But in my 43 years of life, I have never seen where a customer could not get something they didn’t eat replaced in their meal! Need to repeat again this is my last time at Zoe’s restaurant in Walkertown. I will make the trip to travel a few more miles just to go somewhere else because clearly this restaurant is pennypinching and does not value their customer service or their customers return or referral!...

I was referred to this restaurant. As a new resident, I'm disappointed. I feel like the fish served to me tonight was spoiled or some. The fish is not crispy, has no taste, extremely slimy inside. If I didn't live 20 minutes away I would go back. I'm very disappointed. The slaw, hushpuppies, and baked potato was fine after I came home and added my personal butter, bacon bites, cheese, and parsley to the potato. The main thing I wanted for dinner, I could not have because the fish was nasty, very slimy inside and not crispy at all. A waste of my dern $14. I want my money back.

I called out there after making this post because the fish smell is just ridiculous with sitting in front of me. I feel sick to my stomach for taking a bite. I told the young lady on the phone about the fish and all she said was sorry about that.

At 5:58a.m., on 3/3 I just checked my card. They charged me another price then what my receipt say. I am up this early because I been feeling sick all night from eating a piece of the fish.

3/4 9:35a.m., I went back this morning and talk to them about my food, the call I made and how my bank card was charge different then what the young lady said. The girl at the registered said we charge a surcharge for cards and walked off. This was my first time and last time at this unprofessional place. If you going to do a processing fee charge then post the sign up so someone can see it at eye contact. The young lady even had a nasty look on her face like no one care your order was not right.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE OR GETTING FISH.

Fish looks good but flip it over after I ate a piece and saw that it was very slimy and had a spoil smell as you got close to it. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I added my own topping to the plain baked potato...
