I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chilito's Pepper Cafe, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was delicious, with each dish bursting with fresh flavors and expertly prepared ingredients. Every bite was a treat, and the variety on the menu ensured that there was something for everyone. The service was equally impressive—attentive, friendly, and efficient, and the staff ensured we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The restaurant was spotless, offering a clean, welcoming environment that made the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family. Overall, I highly recommend Chilito's Pepper Cafe for anyone looking to enjoy great food in a peaceful setting with excellent service!

Excellent Friday lunch! Had the Big Grande Chilito which is a Chili Relleno, cheese enchilada, beef taco, and I chose refried beans and Mexican rice. Charro beans and papas are also available. Added a guacamole side salad and of course the tortilla chips! Regular salsa and the Casa Ole' green sauce was brought out. The folks working here used to work at Casa Ole' so the green sauce was spot on and the food was similar but much better! Service was A+! Christine was attentive and friendly. She added to the great food. Everything was fresh and hot. I will definitely come here again!!

I went to this restaurant because my son, Arnold Pena lives here in Lubbock, Tx. So we got chips and salsa. Waitress introduced herself my name is Crystal. We placed our order. My enchiladas had plenty of meat, beans and rice was delicious. She brought us extra napkins, later came if my son needed a refilled and if everything was alright. She was busy waiting tables, cleaning tables and being the cashier. As I was paying, she say have a blessed day.

We've tried this restaurant a few times before and it was pretty good, however this past Saturday was a whole different experience. They weren't crowded, maybe another table besides ours. Took quite a while to get a menu, drinks and order. Our waitress was not really listening to anything we told her. We both ordered the beef fahita Quesadillas. Food took a long time coming out. We finished a basket of chips and bowl of hot sauce just while waiting. Food finally came and was barely warm, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a long time. Quesadillas had maybe 2 teaspoons of fahita meat inside, the rest was a tortilla with a small amount of cheese. There was also about a teaspoon of guacamole mixed with onions on the plate. Best part of the meal were the chips and hot sauce (which was very thin and could have used more seasoning). After finishing, we had to wait again for tickets. Don't know if this was just an off day or if food and service has slipped that much, but it was a very disappointing meal. We drive from Lubbock, and pass many very good restaurants on the way to Chilitos. That, coupled with the price of a meal in today's world, makes a huge difference on how many chances we give a restaurant to compete. So far this year, Chilitos has missed the mark for staying on our...

Pros. Food was fast.

Cons. Waited 10 mins before I had to get up and get our menus myself. The waiter (Mike). Very unprofessional. Brought chips. Didn't bring sauce. Left food for another table on another table for about 5 mins before the lady in the back had to ask him infront of every one why he just left it there. Brought the food out, another person at our table had to go to back and ask for silverware. The PRICES on the menu are NOT what they charge. I order a 9 dollar smoother burrito, substituting the beef for steak. For a 1.99 charge, and a water. Charged me at the register 18 dollars. Said the prices went up. The establishment seemed fine. But lack of knowledge in his position. Lack of customer service. Was dissatisfied with...
