King Louie's Drive-In — Restaurant in Wood River

Extremely disappointing! It's been a hot minute since we have been and my husband is from the area so it was a place he used to frequent. We ordered 2 burgers and 2 sides $24.48... that's the first strike. We asked what all comes on the burgers and the girl seemed like she wasn't even sure, but she did say lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle. I asked about cheese and she said we could order it. My husband quickly said no onions. He ordered the double king louie no onion, no ketchup, no mayo and I got the regular the same way. We made sure to say we both wanted mustard. His $7 burger came with gobs of onions, ketchup and mustard, no lettuce, no pickles or tomatoes. Mine just had ketchup and mustard. I got a side of fries for $4 and he got 4 generic very salty cheese sticks for $5.90..... Last time we will...

I don't come there very often but this is my last time. They didn't just mess it up they gave me some one else order so that means someone got mine. All after 2 girls asked me witch car I was in one even asked twice to make sure ..like how can you mess that up.

If anyone there has every been pregant n drove 30minutes to get food you crave n then get home n it's not even what you want n also not something I even like you would understand how upsetting it is to be hungry n then have to go back out in the cold to go spend more money for food I don't want cause granite city is nasty. I will call tomarrow an I won't be eating the food so proof I ain't lieing but I would like a refund also as I had to go out n spend more money to get my kid a burger and me...

A close friend had been talking up this restaurant and I had been looking forward to giving it a try. I live in Saint Louis so this was a special, out of the way trip for my friend and I. Seemingly no place in particular, and just off of a tiny road, this little gem is worth the trip! They have inside dinning as well as tables outside, but the cute thing about this place is staff will come to your car window to take your order, then bring your order to your car when it is ready! There burger was unexpectedly delicious, onion rings hit the spot, but the real draw is the root beer and root beer floats! You even have the option to order root beer by the gallon to take home.
