Our journey from California led us to the Thai Woodburn Food Cart in Oregon, and what a culinary adventure it was! From the tantalizing Pad Thai to the aromatic curries and the exquisite Thai Woodburn noodle dish, every bite was a burst of authentic Thai flavors. The mango sticky rice, with its perfect balance of sweetness, transported us back to the streets of Thailand.

Having traveled to Thailand ourselves, we can attest to the premium quality and authenticity of the food prepared here. It's evident that the owner pours her heart and soul into each dish, ensuring they're made with love and using only the freshest ingredients.

Despite the drive from downtown Portland to Woodburn, the experience was well worth it, especially on a rainy day when a hot noodle soup warmed both body and soul. I am a frequent visitor to the Industrial Ave food cart area in Woodburn. For a long time, it's been mostly Mexican food, but Thai Woodburn recently added some much needed variety into the mix. Today I tried the Pad Thai (mild) and the spicy wings. Both were fantastic. The pad thai was fresh and herbaceous. The chicken was perfectly cooked and moist. The spicy wings were some of the best chicken wings I have had in a long time. Perfect spice level and crispy with tender, moist chicken. The wait was a little long but well worth it for the fresh food. While I waited I had a pleasant conversation with the owner and was served a free Thai tea that was delicious. Overall, I almost couldn't believe the quality of the food from that little food cart. If you are ever near Woodburn, it is worth stopping by Industrial Ave just to see what they have to offer. I think Thai Woodburn is my new favorite...

If you are not yet familiar with the Thai Woodburn food truck, I wouldn't be too surprised. It's the best kept secret in the Portland/Salem area. How these wonderful ladies haven't been featured at the national level for their incredible cooking is beyond my comprehension. In my mind, they are miles ahead of even the highest rated establishments in Portland. Their dishes are fresh, robust, and most importantly, consistent. In two years, despite ordering at least once per week, they have NEVER needed to remake a dish for me. It's amazing. Try one of their next-level takes on classic Thai fried rice. You will not be disappointed.
