My friends and I all came for the first time to dinner and to hear the band on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Being a holiday and we hadn't made reservations we understandably had to wait for a seat out on the deck since it was a lovely late spring evening. The restaurant has a very nice waiting area with comfortable seating, a pool table, and a couple of video game consoles. We also had the choice of waiting outside on the deck away from the outside seating. So it really wasn't a problem Our wait was a little longer than anticipated but as I mentioned it was a holiday. Once seated the friendly & helpful waitress did promptly come and delivered menus and got our drink orders. And was back in a reasonable time to take our meal order. This is where the reason for only 3 stars on service comes in. Our wait for our food was extremely long. From order time to delivery was well over an hour. (Closer to an hour and a half) Plus we saw at least one table which was seated after us receive their order before us. When we finally received our food my meal was delicious - I had a black diamond steak cooked as I ordered and fries. My one friend had the Cobb Salad and enjoyed it. The third friend had a Po Boy Sandwich and it looked delicious. But she thought her onion rings were overcooked and she was missing coleslaw (but she didn't mention this to the waitress so she never received it). Because of the scenic location and the good food I hope to return to find that kitchen procedures have been reviewed to make them more efficient when handling large crowds.

We had a very nice evening tonight at Antlers On The Water !! I had the Cobb Salad. Grandson had the small (not small) Pepperoni Pizza, and husband had the Cowboy Burger/beer battered fries. Grandson got some Garlic Knots and hubby had Onion Rings for Appetizers... I sampled a tiny bit of everything and EVERYTHING WAS DELISH!! The waitress/other staff were super nice, & helpful. They had live music, which we thoroughly enjoyed! They played and sang a mix of tunes from such artists as Tom Petty, Bob Segar, Lynard Skynard, Travis Tritt, George Jones, & Johnny Cash and others.... The evening was beautiful by the river... If you haven't been here yet, you need to go... A top notch evening... UPDATE: Returned with family for Wed. Christian music night...AWESOME MUSIC, & Super sweet & efficient waitress. All you can eat spaghetti and meatballs or Italian sausage, yummy salad, and homemade bread for $12.00!!! 1st serving was more than I could eat!! Family ordered the HUGE Pretzel (with cheese and mustard on the side)...it was GREAT! Cowboy Burger, Catfish, & Po boy by other family who said they were great..

A wonderful time by the water with family and friends. It wasn't too hot out, but once the sun went down it began to get cool. I recommend a jacket if you get cold easily, even if you sit outside for the night. Take a break from the stressful day to day issues, and pretend that you are in Italy. A small kitchen, with quality food. It takes time to make the meal; recommend getting an appetizer and sharing it with your group. ( Jazlynn, thank you for that recommendation as well.) Strombolis and Calzones are big enough to share! Keep that in mind if you have kiddos. Next time we think we'll try the burger or a salad. Apologies, we didn't catch the gentleman name who recommended the desserts. The cheesecake was heavenly. We could have had multiple slices. One recommendation for next season for outside: Citronella Grass/Plants, Marigolds, or Chrysanthemums on the deck. It would help keep some of the bugs away, and give greenery to the atmosphere.

This was my very first time every coming to this restaurant. My coworkers and I came out to enjoy a late lunch for one of our coworkers birthdays today. We got there at 3pm. Our orders didn't get taken until 325pm. But let me mention this when we arrived there was us a table of ten. And another table of two nobody else. So it was not busy at all . Shouldn't have taken that long to get our orders taken but we chatted and ignored it , also ignored that our waitress Nicole came up to take our orders while chewing food. So that happened.

Then it gets to be 4pm we still have no drinks haven't seen our waitress. Now three other tables came by now . They have a different waitress they all have drinks AND their food ! We still have nothing . So a coworker went into the bar to grab drinks. As our waitress is sitting at the bar "Taste testing" wines. Then states she is JUST putting our orders in. So as we've been waiting 30-40 minutes our orders weren't even put in. Another 15 minutes go by and STILL nothing. So another coworker comes in to just grab our drinks , since she said to the other coworker she was getting them.

Came out with one pitcher of water and paper cups for a ten top table. Says ," Sorry the bartender is training so she's slow making drinks." Which blew us away because that wasn't the problem . She neglected her customers so you can sit and drink and do whatever else. Not to mention when I asked for a manager at the end of this whole thing at the bar. The bartender that is "training" was the manager on shift.

We finally got our food and drinks close to 445pm . She had most of our sides messed up and had to fix that. But the food was amazing once we got it. Nicole had a nasty attitude with me and a couple other staff when we talked to her.

It is highly unfortunate because it is a beautiful view sitting on the patio watching the river . But that one waitress ruined the experience for all of us. Most of us it is our first and last time going there.

I hope that other people get better experience out of this place...

It's a beautiful location I'll give you that but our waitress was subpar, she was annoyed that we asked questions about the menu. My hubby has a lemon/lime allergy so we were inquiring about their seafood dishes on whether or not they contained LEMON. We ordered drinks and apps and dinner reminded her of the allergy. Once we recieved the apps trivia night started, okay not our thing but didn't bother us that much, we then ordered a refill of our drinks. My malibu bay breeze was not what I ordered when it arrived, I think the bartender made an orange crush. Okay whatever I don't have any allergies and I'm okay with trying something new. But my poor husband who ordered a second gin and gingerale, almost came with a lime (the waitress saw the lime before it got to us) so the waitress was having the bartender remake it. Then it arrived at the table super clear and bubbly. I said is there sprite in this? The waitress was like that was what you ordered no? I replied no he ordered a gin and gingerale because sprite is lemon lime soda (the two things my hubby cannot have) She was dumbfounded that sprite was a lemon lime soda. I chalked it up to the bartendar being too busy playing trivia. I'm all about having fun, but you should be paying attention to the ticket and doing your job first. Anywho he finally got the corrected drink. Our food. While everyone else's was good, except a side salad being forgotten, not that big of a deal. My black diamond steak was okay. My broccoli tasted like it was from yesterday. My mashed potatoes had a crusty layer on top like my dish sat under the heatlamp. I didn't complain because well I didn't want my kids to wait any longer while new dish was made. We tried it and I don't think we will go back, our waitress Diane was just not very good she didnt handle the allergy thing very well. I'd just thought I'd voice my opinion incase any of my other friends were thinking of trying the place. Oh and I love how their bread looks and tastes exactly like OIP's bread from...

We were seated in a timely manner and everything was going well at first. Then the waitress brought out all of our drinks and food. One of the steaks (delmonico) was way over cooked like well well done when it was asked to be cooked rare. Mind you we were also told that was the only one left so only one person at our table could order it. They did fix the issue and magically pulled out another delmonico steak (funny isn't it?🤨) then a Caesar salad with steak on it was ordered. We weren't asked how we wanted it cooked. When it came out. It was charcoal black and super tough. Could probably play hockey with the damn steak. 😭 2.5 pieces were eaten of the steak, yes but how else are you supposed to know if you like something? 2 people tried it and half of a piece went to my toddler( she even refused to eat it and she loves steak.) Then the cook(I'm assuming) came out and said that he talked to his manager and there was apparently 8 pieces of steak on the salad and only 2 left. (There wasn't) if 2.5 pieces were eaten and only 2 pieces were left then that'd be 5 pieces on the salad. But regardless he said because there was steak eated that they couldn't make a new steak and they could only make another salad but we'd have to still pay for it. Mind you when we told them about the issue with the steak we were told they could just remake a whole new steak for us for free. We were not happy! And on top of that. Some of the pasta tasted like they dumped it out of a can and the mashed potatoes were instant mashed potatoes that tasted like they were from a box! The waitress was nice and kept checking on us but that was was just about it. Giving them a 3 star review is me being nice 🥴🙄 ( i didnt think to take a picture...
