Lionsgate Pizza, Ice Cream & Deli — Restaurant in Wooster

This was my first visit to try their pizza after reading all the positive reviews. As the pizza lovers we are, We were EXCITED to try them out. The pizza/ice cream place is located in a cute looking mini castle. When I went in, the facility was quite cramped, with a very narrow space to walk up to the pickup area. They had 6 or 8 unique flavors of ice cream, that they said was homemade. It was quite a bit pricey. If I recall, a single scoop was like $2.50 or $3. It did look great! The lady that helped me, was SO KIND and polite! I'm thinking she was one of the owners. I had called in my order as I was coming from 40 minutes away. A man answere the phone right away, but the background noise was super loud on his end. He kept saying he wasn't able to clearly hear me. That wasn't a big deal though. I ordered a medium pepperoni and it was $14. I was a little surprised at the cost, given how small their medium pizza was. I did read they were a bit more expensive, but worth it. I opened the box when I got back to the car. The pizza looked SO GOOD! When food looks great, it generally takes FANTASTIC! When I arrived back home, I tried a piece. The pepperoni was DELICIOUS! They were overly generous with the cheese as well! I did find the sauce to be quite salty though. The crust was a bit hard as well. Since the pizza looked so darn good, I wanted to like it, however I was barely able to get through 1 piece, due to it's saltiness. I wish I could give this 6 stars!! I travel around the state for work and try to eat at local spots where ever I am. This place did not disappoint.

The pizza was exactly what my coworker and I were looking for. It had a lot of toppings and cheese on a hand tossed dough. Reminded me of the pizza at my local pizza place growing up. While the pizza was awrsome, the couple who own and operate it we're just fantastic. They are an older couple that go above and beyond with their service and hospitality. The love for their work, pizza and each other shines through. Definitely worth the stop!!

A strange experience for sure. My girlfriend & I gave this place a try, and got an unsatisfactory result on a Friday night. The large cheese pizza was handed out the drive-through window burnt badly with an apology, and the assurance that it'd be discounted. Well, it seemed more like a medium-sized pie, and they knocked a dollar off, bringing the total to fifteen dollars for a ruined, undersized cheese pizza. The pleasant woman running the place was so likable, it almost made sense when she told us with a smile that it would have turned out better if we'd ordered more toppings on it.
