Yellow Dog Cafe & Bar — Restaurant in Worden

My wife and I have been eating at the Yellow Dog for the last several years. We live in Worden so it's certainly the closest restaurant to us, but we've also really enjoyed it. IT IS CASH-ONLY! They have an ATM but remember your cash. Seating inside is limited, but it has surprisingly good bar food. My wife loves their shrimp Po boy, and I most recently was impressed with their pork tenderloin sandwich. Anyone who knows the Yellow Dog though will tell you that their wing night special on Monday nights during the summer are a must. The wing night special is year round, but they have live music and outdoor seating during the late spring through the early fall. The wings have about 8 or 9 different flavors and they're all good. I went to have dinner at the yellow dog as I have in years past there's a new menu obviously prices are higher.. I ordered a sprite and Bacardi they gave it to me in a beer mug I'm not even sure there was any Bacardi In it.. I ordered the pull pork sandwich which was good but the onion and pickle it said came with it was absent. I ordered the cheese chili fries the fries were like they had been left out of the freezer and never put into the fryer . I ordered fried Califlower which was excellent All in all the meal cost me $25 I will never eat at the yellow dog again very disappointing I told the waitress about my fries and my pork sandwich but she said sorry and still charged me for...

Visited the Yellow Dog while passing through to Springfield. Came up on my map and decided to give it a shot, and am I glad I did! Cozy environment with great food (at a good price) and friendly staff. We arrived just before dinner, and before we left the place was pretty much full.

The only complaint is that upon arrival, we had to wait almost ten minutes to be acknowledged by the staff because they were engaged in conversation with the local patrons.

Yellow Dog is cash only as well, and as far as I could see, there was no sign posted saying as much. They do have an atm in the bar area...
