HIDDEN GEM ALERT Iām in the area on business. Very close to Gillette Stadium. Naturally my attempt to find food options on Google Maps led me to believe that āPatriot Placeā was really the only option for food around here with the exception of a decent looking Irish Pub. I decided to expand the map to see if I could find anything else, and man Iām glad I did! A mere 2 minutes drive further from Patriot Place youāll likely almost miss and drive by the Red Rooster. I came into a packed house at 5 on a Tuesday, but alas, 1 bar seat remaining. Enough draft beers to be considered reasonable, but most importantly, they had a great rotating local draft or 2 as well. Scored a great double IPA! The food selection is that of a bar/grill/pub. However, itās all fresh, itās all made here, and it is absolutely delicious!!! I ordered to Burger of the Week which including their house bacon onion jam, enough said! To think I almost ended up a a burger chain tonight! I came back the next day due to the need for confirmation of its quality, but also to try something else. The other picture shows my mostly eaten Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich with house salad. The sandwich, made fresh in house, was exactly what I was looking for⦠but the salad, with house made mustard vinaigrette, and house made croutons, was truly a touchdown!!! Canāt speak too much for service on night one as it was jammed, but they handled everything very well. However the second night, the 3 I saw in the front were all smiles (despite not being as busy as they would want). They all engaged in friendly conversation, and the glasses on two of them made for some additional light humor. All in all, Iāll be back here in October and will be eager to visit again with more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDefinitely a bizarre place. The noise was UNBEARABLY loud and the patrons were all obnoxious. Scream and shouting. Couldn't even hear my family 2 feet from my face. The staff didn't check up much because they were all too busy behind the bar. My family sat at a booth and I had to sit on a 2 foot tall rickety child sized old 3 legged stool because they don't even have a chair. The music was way too loud from the digital jukebox to the point that made the people even louder. They were clearly over serving drinks to half the patrons stumbling around visibly drunk. There was no buffer from the door which was opened quite constantly for the smokers bringing an awful cold air into the entire restaurant. I literally had to YELL for my family to hear me. At least the beer was pretty cold from the tap even though their selection was mostly light. The steak tips came out cooked fairly properly. The only problem is that they were NOT hot. Maybe a tad warm but not hot. The sauce for it tasted like some off brand A1 watered down with greasy tap water. The disturbingly large quantity of mashed "potatoes" were revoltingly combined with way too much butter or sour cream or some other nasty ingredient that entirely ruined the dish. I coated it with salt and pepper to try and mask the tastes. The asparagus was cooked properly at least even though barely any was on my plate. I don't foresee a future where I will ever find myself back at this establishment. I'll leave it to whomever may call themself a regular at this BAR. Do not that you should not come here for food; this is a dive bar that DEFINITELY...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy boyfriend and I started going there after COVID, and it quickly became our special date spot. The atmosphere, food, and service were amazing back then , we truly loved it. But when we returned a few months later, everything had changed. And not once did that happen to us multiple times. This was our last straw. Two weeks ago, we decided to go again. We stood at the entrance for over 10 minutes, and not a single staff member acknowledged us. Then a group walked in after us, and immediately someone came to seat them. We tried not to jump to conclusions , maybe they were just busy, and it wasnāt about race , but it was hard not to feel the difference. Eventually, we had to stop a waitress ourselves to get a table. Then we waited another 30 minutes before anyone came to take our order, and another 30 minutes after that for our food. When the waitress finally brought the check, she didnāt ask if we needed anything else ,it felt like they just wanted us to leave. We felt like outsiders, and it was honestly heartbreaking. People were looking at us like we didnāt belong. We couldnāt even finish our food. Itās just sad ā very sad ā to be treated that way at a place that once felt...
