Backwater Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Wyeville

Driving down the highway heading home. We saw a small dive bar across from an ATV trail. The sign said good food and cold drinks and since I was out of water, I thought we should stop in. Inside was a unique wrap around wooden bar with eclectic items featured everywhere you looked. The bartender was so friendly and inviting. We looked for some gluten-free options, and she had offered to do bun-less burger, or there were some chips and mini tacos. The drinks really are cold and the food is good. Ya know, I was really disappointed coming here after not being here for a while. I love the owner she's amazing but when I come in here and the bartender is clearly on meth grinding her jaw talking a thousand miles a minute, waiting forever for a drink when there wasn't but 4 people in here and other people clearly on meth running behind the bar making their own drinks and in and out of the kitchen..... I had the Steak & Shrimp with Salad and fries! Salad was fresh n crisp (Ranch dressing to die’s for); Shrimp sauce yummy! Shrimp deep fried perfectly golden; fries crisp!
