Overall a very disappointing experience. We walked in and the waitress motioned for us to sit down. Not trying to be rude, but she didn’t even go up to us or welcome us just waved us to sit in either booth in the front. We then process to wait 30 minutes before she asks us what we wanted to order. I asked for a soda(for my girlfriend), a horchata and a water for myself. I make sure she knows what I mean and I ask her twice. It takes her around 20 minutes to give us our drinks and of course she forgets my water and horchata. Not upset or anything just annoying, since the only time we have a chance to ask is when she drops off our food 30 more minutes later. Mind you we only ordered two steak tacos and a queso dip which shouldn’t take that long. I get my horchata but she forgets the water. The steak was decently seasoned, but was extremely overcooked and dry. I couldn’t even finish one. Rest assured, I went home hungry. My girlfriend also noticed that the prices were raised and that the portions were a lot smaller since she lives in the area and is a frequent customer. The thing that really bother me, though, was the fact that a larger party/group came in AFTER us, ordered before us, got their food before us, and left before us. Additionally, considering we had only ordered three things and waited well over a hour to eat, that made me even more annoyed. Overall one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. My girlfriend said that their service and food used to be a lot better. Very sad that their business has gone down a lot in quality. I can notice when someone gives good versus bad service. But if the food was good I would have disregarded that even so. I really hope they can change for the better. I’ve noticed that a few of their recent reviews have also said a lot of bad things about their service as well. I can only hope they listen to this and other reviews. I’m not a very picky person. I just wanted a decent meal and decent service. None of which we got.

Read moreMy in-laws were getting a little too "in-law-y," so I did what any sane person would do and sought refuge in rural Midwest Mexican food. The cuisine was decent, definitely a solid "okay" The frozen margaritas weren't a spiritual experience, but they got the job done—a true ally in my quest for sanity. I was a repeat offender for a week straight, and the weirdness was consistent. I don't mean the young servers; they were great The food also came out in its own sweet time, but that was fine.
The real star of the show was the older lady, who I can only assume was the owner.
The first time I walked in, I was genuinely unsure if I was allowed to be a customer. I practically had to ask for permission to sit down, and her response was a shrug and a stare that could curdle milk. I speak enough Spanish to be passable , so I don't think it was a language barrier. Every time I had to interact with her, I felt like I was personally offending her for wanting to pay money for food. It was a unique dining experience—I've never felt so judged just for...
Read moreHorrible service. Decided to serve other customers before us. I had asked our waitress how long for my food. Keeping it mind it would take long since we were a big party. However, people who came after us had gotten their plates… ate… and left and I still haven’t gotten my order. I arrived at the restaurant at 5pm and left at 7:05pm without any food since they were still making it according to them. She even told me my food was given to other customers but they were working on mine. 15mins go by still nothing. I was seeing other people get their food. No apology was given and I had been respectful since I understand it can get difficult when serving a lot of people. However we also made a reservation so it’s not like it was unexpected. I had said just cancel my order and her response was “okay” and walked away. Horrible service! Don’t recommend this place.
