We’re from Colorado but were shopping at Menards and decided to get something to eat. Found this place online. Food looked good so we stopped. Husband got chicken fried steak dinner. I got the chicken fried steak breakfast. One kid got a hamburger. One got mini corndogs. One got Mac and cheese and the other got grilled cheese sandwich. We also ordered the loaded cheese tots.
First, it took over 15 minutes to get the appetizer. The tots were good. We were the only ones in there. It took another 25 minutes for our food to finally start arriving.
The hamburger was dry and didn’t have any mayonnaise. Our waitress never came over to ask if we needed anything or if we were satisfied with the food. Fries too salty. My kid didn’t finish 1/2 of it.
Mac and cheese was sooo dry. Looked like it was cooked and left on the counter for awhile. The fruit on the side was fine. Kiddo ate it though. It was a long day
The grilled cheese was too salty. The cheese was hard. The fruit was ok. Kiddo ate it because she was hungry
The mini corndogs were disgusting! I don’t know if was the oil they fried them in or the sausages they use but they were so gross. Kiddo ate only about 3. Ate the fries instead although those were super salty too.
My chicken fried steak was the worst fried steak I’ve ever had! The flavor was horrible. Tasted like they boiled the steak, dried it and then did the breading to deep fry. The gravy didn’t help it. The eggs were dry. The potatoes were over seasoned and salty. I was only able to take MAYBE 3 bites. This meal was absolutely horrible.
My husbands’ was also horrible. He chose the dinner plate though. Only thing he ate was the salad that came with it. He’s the type that will eat the food even though it’s not the greatest because he doesn’t like to waste food but he couldn’t this time. The texture, the flavor, the seasoning, the overall taste was horrible.
I wanted to say something but nobody was around. Nobody at the cash register. I’m writing this as we are heading back home and stomach is already hurting :/

Read moreYou have to order at the front counter first instead of the old way, but the lady at the register, "Mom", was a complete sweetheart, gave great service checking in with us and telling us Texans how to eat certain foods here (cheese tots). I ordered 2 8oz sirloins (1 for then, another for later), medium rare, with cottage cheese and cajun fries. The meal came with garlic toast. My better half ordered the 3 pancakes with 2 scrambled eggs and sausage patties. We both got some pecan pie as well. The steak was cooked perfectly. I grabbed some A1 but didn't even need it. The cajun fries were perfectly seasoned, not overly salted like most places. The garlic bread was soft on the inside but crispy on the top, the ranch was close to that of Wingstop, and my SO said the breakfast food was very good as well. Our waitress, Mom, was super kind and inviting and made it a great experience. We've been planning to move either here in Cheyenne or another place in Texas, but this place and the DC we went to for trucking sealed the deal. Can't wait to make Cheyenne our future home and stop in here in the future. I would share photos as I normally do, but I was so hungry, and the food was so good that I completely forgot. If you're a trucker and used to run down truck stops with bad service and only the few food options to choose from (Subway, McD's, Chester's, Wendy's, Hardee's, Godfather's pizza, etc), this will be a place to save in your map's favorites list. 🥰...
Read moreI used to be a driver and there are truck stops out there with decent food. This place offers Alaska Air miles and claims on their website to cook everything from scratch, so I thought I'd stop in since I was passing by.
The service was friendly, which is always nice. They accept call-ahead orders, although I ended up ordering in-person and then waiting to take it with me.
I tried the "Cowboy Corn Bites" appetizer, which was kind of strange and had already sort of fallen apart in the container, and it continued to crumble as I tried to eat it. The main event was supposed to be the "CB Hash & Eggs," which the menu describes as "fresh corned beef mixed with onions, cheddar jack cheese and special seasonings." I'm putting a poorly lit photo with the review because I'm not even remotely convinced that wasn't canned corned beef hash. The gist is that the corned beef was salty (expected), the seasoned potatoes were salty (okay), and then with cheese added to the top it was so sodium-laden that my blood would have turned into a gel if I'd have eaten all of it.
That said, I give points for trying and would take a whack at the cinnamon roll french toast if I ever found myself held hostage at that terrifying...
