Slightly long review coming, but it's because everyone working there and this restaurant deserves it !!!
To start we were driving for 8+ hours, on Father's Day, down from Western Canada, and crossing time zones. Before we left I searched multiple restaurants in the area for a Father's Day dinner with my family (never been in the area) and decided on Buffalo Jump.
Along the way we passed at least 5 different restaurants that we considered, but didn't pick. Well, as we drove past them I was SO, SO thankful we passed on them.
Now, at 530p we pulled into the parking lot of Buffalo Jump and it was pretty full (1st very good sign), now onto the review.
Walked in party of 4 & were able to get seated by Shaylah (🙏 spelled correctly). She was so kind and funny and got us seated inside of 5 minutes (UNBELIEVABLE and again just so, so, so kind of her). Pro-tip - ALWAYS BE KIND TO THE EMPLOYEES, AND THAT INCLUDES THE HOSTESS as you never know who you're speaking to, and kindness costs you nothing, so it's just the right thing to do, nuff said.
We got sat and Whitney was our server, she was AMAZING, so sweet, prompt, and helped guide me to ordering the Ruby Ribeye - which was ABSOLUTELY one of the best decisions ever perfectly cooked and off the charts, unbelievable rub!!!
Do yourself a favor, make sure to upgrade your salad to the wedge, just trust me.
Appetizers were Wings (slammin') and Crab Stuffed Mushrooms (also unreal).
By now it's about 630p & the restaurant began to fill up quickly (remember again Sunday, Father's Day, & beginning of dinner rush).
Knowing we got sat quickly and without a reservation we made sure to finish quickly and turned down dessert SOLELY for this reason, we didn't want to be selfish and tie up the table longer than we needed.
Another side note, the owner Casey (and all the other waitresses for that matter) were working their tails off - again the owner was IN THE MIX working side by side with the staff, we LOVED to see that amount of CARE and DEDICATION from the owner !!!
The rest of the front of the house was killing it too - bartender was holding down the bar & service bar, the other waitresses were all hustling and friendly.
We walked in, never having been there before, we were strangers, it was Father's Day, without a reservation (changing time zones, 8+ hour drive, not knowing when we expected to get there, etc) and we got taken care of like we were their most frequent guests.
I can't say enough about how IMPRESSED, and how THANKFUL we were! Other than to say we saw everyone working hard, all doing their best, and they were all friendly and BAD @SS LADIES HOLDING IT DOWN LIKE BOSSES !!!
If you are in the area, there is no other restaurant you should consider, hands down,...

If you want an amazing meal that will not disappoint this is the place to be at! Wow I am literally blown away by how every single thing I had was perfect! We had the Buffalo smoked chicken Bleu cheese dip with chips and toasted bread. Holy cow or should I say holy chicken lol , best dip I have ever had in my life! Then we had ordered clam chowder soup with one of the meal it came out early. Best clam chowder soup I have ever had, seriously the amount of clams it in omg... then it was so creamy the potatoes and bacon in the soup on point! We ordered the NY strip with the pepper jack Mac and cheese. Omg yet again did not disappoint at all , bursting with flavor! I had the jump burger, the whole thing was just flavor full I really like the hamburger patties they use. I also had the steak fries with my meal , legit home made steak fries so so so good. Our server which i now know is the owner lol was so amazing and did such a great job! She also offered us dessert which I chose the turtle cheesecake and soooooooo good. Everything came out with great presentation, so flavorful , the atmosphere was so good , had a thirty minute wait to be seated but I would of waited 2 hours just to eat there. Population 33 Wow!!! My kinda town!!! My kinda restaurant also!!! The whole town must have been eating there. And then some of the surrounding counties and travelers like us. It was packed!!! One sign of a good restaurant. But I could see why!!! Crazy good upscale food for a town with a population of just 33. Sorry no history report this time. They were so busy I didnt want to pull the owner away. But man that's the juicy stuff. That was the ONLY thing missing from the meal. I had the scallops with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. Yum!!! My Husband had their brisket, a huge portion!!! I tasted it also. And again ,YUM!!! This restaurant is definitely on my reccomend list. Want to know the history. If we are blessed enough to travel that way again. I will eat of the last morsel of history if at all possible!!! This is one of the places I really, really, really want to have the pleasure of eating at again!!! As hard as this road can be. It's the places like this that makes it worth it!!! And what about that name??? Gotta know, what that is all about!!!
