Buen Rato Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Yabucoa

To start off the 2 hostess were not welcoming, no greeting. Left menu on table and no asking if we wanted something to drink. We were the first ones there. After we got there, 4 people walked in and immediately got served drinks. The staff were all on them. On top of that one lady had her freaking phone on speaker pacing back and forth very rude . Don’t want to hear that when I’m in a restaurant. When the waitress finally came to our table. I had to ask her about getting something to drink. To top it off, I asked who I believe was the the manager , what was the name of the restaurant and he told me “un Buen Rato” and I told him that we were having a “Mal Rato”. He asked me why and I told him about the obnoxious lady with the freaking phone on speaker and being loud on the phone. He apologized and told me that those were the parents of the owner! Last Tuesday, June 4th, 2024, a couple of friends went to this restaurant in Yabucoa, PR, for lunch. They offered a variety of plates. We opted for some of the luch menu, but some dishes were not available.Maybe because the dining place was crowded. Anyway, the waitress was very friendly and attentive and tried to please us all. We ordered several dishes from the lunch menu. One of us asked for the "piononos" at the start. They were delicious in flavor. We had to wait quite a while for them to be brought. Anyway, we ordered fried pork, a little dry for my taste, shrimp fettuccine, and salmon with gnocchi. Overall, the food was average, but they can definitely improve. Estuve la noche de hoy junto a mi familia celebrando el cumpleaños de mi abuela, éramos un total de 10 personas. Tan pronto llegó la mesera, se le notaba el malhumor y el mal servicio que daría. Cuando fuimos a ordenar los platos la mesera decidió que la mejor forma para tomar la orden era comenzar con la persona al otro lado de la mesa, eso está bien para seguir un orden, el detalle es que ella estaba en el otro punto de la mesa por lo que prácticamente estaba gritando ya que habían más personas en el restaurante… tuvimos que pedirle que se acercara a cada uno de nosotros para no tener que gritar de la misma manera en la que ella lo estaba haciendo. Cuando llevaba las bebidas se le veía con prisa para irse. Nunca pasó por la mesa mientras esperábamos por la comida para ver si estábamos bien de bebidas. En una ocasión mi mamá se paró al baño y le pidió 2 bebidas, cuando salió del baño se las entregó en la mano, ni siquiera pudo llevarlas a la mesa. Al salir la comida, habían faltado 2 platos por los cuales se esperó sobre 15-20 minutos y no hubo una excusa sobre los platos o el ir a preguntar si todo había salido bien con la comida. Al momento que nos llevaron el recibo, nos habían puesto 5 refrescos demás pero debido al mal servicio que recibimos y viendo la actitud en la que la mesera estaba, decidimos mejor pagarlo aunque NO LOS HABÍAMOS CONSUMIDO. Pagamos un total aproximado de $435 y realmente entre la falta de buen servicio y la calidad de los platos que no era tan alta (no sabemos si fue porque fuimos de los últimos en ordenar) entendemos que fue un poco excesivo.
