I have been in and out of the hospital for almost 2 years due to needing a double lung transplant. I love this little hidden gem in my town. Today after an unexpected hospital trip (on top of my regular 4 days a week) all I could think about all day while waiting to be discharged was my favorite grilled chicken sandwich with cheese from the dairy hut š¤ I wasnāt gonna make it in time so I called and made the order and 2 for my household as well, and had it picked up. When I got home and opened it I had 3 fried chicken strip sandwiches with no cheese, no condiments and stale buns that were nearly burnt instead of grilled. My family opted to just eat theirs. I called and the new owner answered. I explained to him the situation with our order and that my family was going to go ahead and eat theirs but I am unable to eat fried food due to my strict diet. I was met with an extremely rudeā¦okay what do you want me to do to fix it?!? I said never mind thanks and he rudely said okay bye. I will not be eating there again, which is a shame bc I love the food here. This has been the last 3 visits, but I hadnāt called until now. Itās a shame. Only one employee there can cook apparently and only one employee cares about the customers. If you call or go in to eat, make sure Nikki is working otherwise be prepared for nearly inedible food and the most horrible customer service, even by...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been coming to Dairy Hut off and on for 23 years. I am so happy that it's still standing. I remember my dad taking me here all the time as a little girl. We moved to Stillwater when I was 6 and Dairy Hut just turned into a "when we pass by going through Yale" thing, but I always looked forward to it. Their corndogs and butterscotch milkshakes are delicious! I finally tried the jalapeno fries that they have and they were SO yummy! I have lived out of state for 8 years now, and my little sisters and I were just there (in Tulsa) for a visit. I hadn't been to DH in forever, and it's exactly the same. I got to share the experience with my sisters who had never tried DH before and they were head over heels for the milkshakes. I even took a photo and sent it to my older brother, who hasn't been to DH for 20 years and he recognized it immediately. I am so thankful for Dairy Hut! It means so much to me...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStopped by after driving past 100ās of times, I wish we had kept driving. We got chicken strip dinner, a couple FL coneys, onion rings and jalapeƱo poppers. The chicken was burnt, fries were barely passable. The 2 FL coneys were served as 4 regular coneys, with what appeared to be boiled Bar S hotdogs, canned chili and equal parts mustard. The onion rings may be an acquired taste, but I found funnel cake batter onion rings to be sickeningly sweet. The jalapeƱo poppers were better than a lot of places, but only 3 came in the order which cost almost 5 dollars with ranch. This seems to be a very profit centric location, with little care for how good things are made. Iām sure their ice cream is good, the machine looked...
