I Do think the place needs to be open more for the community's locals who recently lost the Oldest Saloon' And Much loved Royal! Much like the antlers Cafe' these historic landmarks are a cherish among our local patrons and Pioneer folk' not to mention; A faboulas spot for tourists, hunters, fishers & Explorer's who are just seeking to find a place with the old Rustic much more Western feel; & fresh mountain seneiry.. Local's from both the North Steamboat area, & the South Oak Creek+Stagecoach+taponis area's auctuallyDrive all the way out just to grab that feeling. If your in to the State Bridge area its not far off highway131 North of taponis. Tom Wester & The famous Antlers food + Great drinks is a prime and Excelent spot to stop. Call first for the Restaurant hours but great Service as well + Bloody Maria & Mary's delish! Margeritas' Martini's outstanding! How you would want to miss out a Excelent Belgium Beer, "Not new Belgium!" Im saying Authentic Belgium + Germin etc.." All and all, Pretty neat! ♥
So A tragic and very devistating fire took down the much loved Royal Bar & Salon. @ once this occupied President Roosevelte, And the the famous Writer & Producer Stephen King One of My faveorite authors next to the much loved bible lol... My prayers however do go out to Bill and his family for there much loved Royal!

Read moreNew owners & chef, fresh menu and great food! Our bicycle group had dinner there on 4 June - about 18 of us in all. It was the new owner's 2nd weekend and the place was pretty full by 6pm. Kerry and her husband/chef were well organized considering the crowd. The food came out hot and far exceeded my expectations. Many of us had the trout, served with green beans and the best couscous I've ever eaten (not being a couscous fan, that's saying a lot). The trout was perfect. The chicken fried steak was also awesome. I got to help finish one and it was too big for my mother in law to finish. Others exercised the menu rigorously and everything got good reviews. The salads were large as were the burgers. The Antlers is worthy of a visit for a drink at the bar even if you don't eat. Grammy Award Nominated Shemekia Copleand and her band were kicked out of this place on 9/20/14 due to their COLOR. After performing in Aspen ... traveling to Steamboat Springs then to Denver, her and her band stopped for a bite to eat. Service was rejected cause she is BLACK!. What an ignorant.. bunch of inbred people at this establishment. I have lived in Denver for many years but born and raised in the South and we aren't even this stupid. Not only did Denver accept her... we will make sure all is known about this backass town and folks and make sure you guys NEVER get our big city money! To top that off, her Family is famous in the industry and it will be spread through the artists that come into the area... NEVER to stop in Yampa! Guess you rejected the WRONG Black person...
