I really dislike giving bad reviews but the Greek food was not very good and it was fairly expensive. I am Greek and experienced with a wide range of Greek food both good and bad. I ordered one pork souvlaki ($26.95) and one pastitsio ($25.95) for take out. Traditional pastitsio is made with long tubular noodles, a very light tomato based meat sauce called Kima, and topped with a beautiful layer of bechamel sauce. PERIOD! Royal II's pastitsio was made with a tasteless chunky meat sauce, bechamel sauce and then tomato sauce on top - a kind of lasagna rather than a true pastitsio. The pasta was gummy and flat. The pork souvlaki was bland, a bit dry, and did not include the tsatziki sauce, which is a staple condiment for souvlaki. I guess I was supposed to ask? The fries were ok. I was greatly disappointed as I have been searching for good, authentic Greek food on the Cape. I cut the pastitsio in half to share with my husband. The attached photo shows a red sauce laden pastitsio. We ended up throwing it away after a few bites. I think maybe they make better Italian food?

We were looking for a simple, light dinner and thought Mediterranean food would be a great choice, some rice, kebab, and grilled veggies sounded perfect. Unfortunately, this turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in a long time, and it quickly became clear why the parking lot was empty. The kebab was completely burnt, the rice had clearly been pre-cooked and reheated (it literally kept the shape of the container it came from), and the vegetables weren’t fresh at all, just frozen ones thrown on the plate. What should have been a very basic and tasty dish was ruined in every possible way. It doesn’t take much to prepare fresh meat on a clean grill, add real grilled vegetables, and cook rice properly. Instead, what we got was a meal that felt careless and unappetizing. We refused to eat this. Sadly, we cannot recommend this place. If you’re in the area, I’d suggest looking elsewhere for dinner.

Oh wow! This restaurant is new to me, but it’s Certainly popular with the locals! They have a good parking lot, but it filled up at dinner time. The inside decor is very cute. They have a strong pizza take out business because there was a stream of people picking flat boxes. The owner came over and dropped a sample of his pizza. It was great and the bottom of the crust was a great color. Our waitress was so great and personable. Soon after we got there, she had to run around to wait on a packed house! Our food was Greek specialties. I loved their versions! I ordered Pastitsio. Ohh so good. Beautifully seasoned beef, and his tomato sauce was great as well. The owner Then whisked by with 2 small ramekins of FRESH, WARM rice pudding. That was Soo good. I ended the meal with baklava. That was a winner as well. They Certainly don’t skimp on those walnuts! We will definitely be back to try a pizza!

Unfortunately we had a very unpleasant experience here. Went there for dinner with my family, 4 women and 2 young boys. I ordered a soup for my mother, seemed pretty basic (rice, egg, chicken and lemon). When she tried it she told me it did not taste right, perhaps spoiled. I did not want it to go to waste I thought I would have it. It did not taste right to me either, so I had someone else try it and she said the same thing and that it smelled funny. I asked that be it taken away. After a while the owner came to the table, to explain about the soup, that it is a Greek Delicacy and nothing was wrong with it. He was angry and offended that we said the soup was spoiled. He raised his voice yelling at us loudly while we were eating dinner. He said “ what are you, “Spanish?”. I told him not yell at us. Since I was celebrating my birthday with my children there I didn’t want this to go on. I spoke to him separately. He did not charge us for the soup, the rest of the food was actually good. He made several comments again about “Spanish”. We found this offensive and irrelevant. We did not like the soup. Unlikely that it was just made as we ate there at 8:30 pm. His behavior was extremely unprofessional. I have of course ordered things that have not tasted or appeared as expected, usually there is not much to it. Either they bring you something else or you don’t get charged for whatever it was. All he needed to say was sorry you did not like the soup we won’t charge you for it. Instead it became an extremely unpleasant experience. I wonder if this would have happened if my husband came with us. I was actually shocked at how verbally...

This restaurant, the Royal ll, is a favorite in my family and we have gone there frequently over the years, both pre- and post- pandemic. Oftentimes, the proprietor comes around with a slice of pizza for each diner as a free appetizer. It's really good, hand-tossed pizza, which is available to order, along with traditional Greek dishes, Italian fare, and even grass-fed burgers. Everything is made in-house and excellently prepared. The wait staff is efficient, skilled, and courteous. My recent visit, I ordered a crock of French Onion soup. It was excellent: rich and savory broth, thin sliced onions, just enough bread to hold a generous amount of melted cheese perfectly browned. Yum!! Other members of my party ordered the fried shrimp, chicken parmigiana, and chicken piccata. The portions are generous, everyone bringing home leftovers. We ordered the Limoncello cake for dessert. The owner also brought a small ramekin of warm rice pudding with cinnamon and a dollop of cream for all the diners, again gratis. He followed that up with a shot of Limoncello for the adult diners. That level of generosity genuinely moved me. That doesn't happen every time...the shots...but wow! What does happen every time I've visited is the great food. This had to be one of my favorite visits: great folks and great food. Oh! And if you enjoy baklava, you gotta try the baklava at...

the food is delicious!! the most amazing waitress… This was my family to go place during the summer and winter season we always felt so welcome here they treated us like family … However today the most ridiculous thing happened the owner yelled at my partner at the table bc they did not understand his order and gave him two wrong drinks ! Then the owner comes back and start yelling even more saying that we are out of line and that he likes the older ladies but we are getting out of line … ? We were really confused and upset so we just got up and left … sad to say never felt so embarrassed and unjustified for no reason costumer service 0 … I have work at restaurant and my manager and boss would always tell me the customer is right even if they are wrong … I don’t know it was just confusing … And I have heard stories of this men treating people like this but I never believed it bc he would always be so nice … but today we saw it happen I get it running a business is very hard but does not give you the right to yell at your costumers… so if u. End up going here enjoy the food have a good time but do not send your food or drinks back (make sure you order really...
