Kickin' Kadilaks Bar and Grill — Restaurant in York Haven

Stopped in with a group of friends for a late lunch. Plenty of street parking & also a parking lot out back on Pine Street. Looking around town this is the nicest (and only) eating facility in York Haven. Kickin Kadilaks is split in 1/2 between a restaurant and a bar. The restaurant side is a bit lack luster, but the bar is kinda cool and reminds me of an old style gin mill. Service was just OK because our server seemed to be spending most of her time on a cell phone or yucking it up with an obviously intoxicated woman. We all agreed that the sandwiches we ate tasted like the main ingredients like the crab, turkey, hamburger, haddock & chopped steak all tasted like they were purchased precooked & frozen from Sam's Club and just reheated. The exception was the wings which were fried crispy & moist, but had an odd flavored hot sauce instead of Frank's hot sauce. This place might do well to reduce the size & number of offerings on their menu & stick with just a few specialties prepared with all FRESH ingredients instead of trying to feed everything...

A little dive off the beaten path in York Haven. Only heard about KKs due to a news story a few years back on top wing places in S. Central PA. Their wings are tops, with hot Old Bay or hot garlic parm as my go to. If you want more heat, they have "misery", which will get your attention, but won't melt your head off. If you want that, they have "annihilation". As of this writing, wing special days are Sun and Thurs at $1 ea, increments of 6. We've only had their wings, but they have a lot of other offerings that look and sound great. Plus rotating weekend specials, fried chicken, steak dinners, various pasta, meatloaf, fish and so on. Service has always been great. The bar side allows smoking. There is a non-smoking, kiddo friendly side separate from the bar; each section has its own restrooms as well. I could see people in the kitchen working. Lady did not have hair covered or a hair net on - she only had the very back in a pony tail but the front was hanging out and she did not have gloves on. Then, when I got home I found out we did not get our side salad or the mushrooms. I called the restaurant and she insisted I received the missing food and a few minutes later realized it was missing. She must have found it in the kitchen. She would not take it off the bill and rering my order.
