Glenwood Grounds Cafe — Restaurant in Youngstown

I really think this may be a little hidden treasure in youngstown! I have not tried eating here yet but I definitely wanna return and give it a try. The menu written on the dry erase board sounded great. The pastries in the case looked amazing! And the prices were very affordable! To top it off, what seems to me a family run establishment has a welcoming staff who served us at our table personally and insisted we just leave our dirty glasses/cups there when we were finished so they could clean it up. I WILL return soon to try items to eat!!!

The only complaint is the signage is hard to see if you are driving by. It is large but sits flat against the building... So if you don't know it's there, you may miss it.

Coffee shop developed with volunteers and grassroots effort. Great renovation of a vacant and tax delinquent building to create a high quality neighborhood gathering space for all people. The group made a strong effort to preserve the character of the building which can be seen in the awesome tin ceiling in the dining area. They use coffee from Branch Street Coffee Roasters that is roasted just six blocks away also on Glenwood Avenue. Stop by soon for coffee and some tasty baked goods....

They could charge 3-5x more money for everything, but they don't because this is their way of contributing improving Youngstown. Gentrification without the price increases - doesn't get any better. Everything in the establishment is first class. This isn't just your regular coffee bar. They have legitimate full kitchen in the back. I had a big bowl of soup, a cappuccino and a muffin.
