First off I want to start by saying that’s it’s hard to find a restaurant with good food and great service these days and this restaurant really hits both point well.
As a foodie I’m always looking for great restaurant at the right price. Duartes hit those with flying colors. First off I want to start by saying that out of all the Mexican restaurants I have tried in my life this one really brings out the authenticity of it. The flavors are present in every bite that is taken. The presentation is on point and the price is something to take advantage of. Living in todays world where McDonalds used to be the cheapest but now cost the same as a plate of food from a restaurant. Duartes insisted to give you the food with high quality ingredients, big portions but most importantly the flavor that is needed and searched for.
I would also want to talk about the hostess. As soon as you enter the doors you feel a warm welcome. The hostess great you and is ready to take your order whenever you have finished choosing over their extensive menu. You can get from a simple burrito to camarones a mojo de ajo. They will certainly have something you like. The server is always coming around and seeing if you need anything throughout your visit. Your order is done to EXACTLY what you ask for. I haven’t had an issue of getting things I don’t like on my food. But I know they wouldn’t hesitate to redo it if that would ever happen. The ambience is amazing. You feel right at home
As a local food critic that’s has reviewed 95% of the restaurant in the area I can certainly say that this one is in my top 3 favorite places to visit. I hope you give it a try. You won’t regret...
Read moreI ordered the chile verde burrito. It was pretty good. The chile verde had good taste and was decently spicy. I also ordered a tostada de camarón. The shrimp was crisp but they were drowning in an excessive amount of ketchup. Minus the ketchup, it would have been a good tostada de camarón. My buddy ordered camarones al mojó de ajo. He was unable to finish his food because the shrimp were cooked in an overwhelming amount of garlic. So much garlic that it was bitter to eat. Add to this, service was super slow. We waited for about 30 minutes for our food. I’d understand if the place was busy. But it wasn’t. A gentleman who came in after us, literally waited for like 45 minutes for his food to be...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusting. The menudo tasted so watered down. I got the impression that they save whatever didn't sell the weekend before and just add water to make it last. I specifically asked if their lemonade is made with fresh lemons and the lady said yes. When I got my lemonade, I realized it was powdered trash. Also, we sat at a table that needed cleaning and when I asked someone if they could wipe it down, the lady just handed me a Clorox wipe to do it myself. I paid $55 for what was definitely one of the top three worst experiences ever. I'd sooner eat roadkill than ever give this place...
