Since May of 2021, I've been going to a really neat coffee shop called Roast The Dead Coffee in Yucaipa California. Think Starbucks and Dutch Bros but horror theme. This unique coffee shop easily stands out at first glance with the side of the building featuring a mural of horror icons: Freddy Kruger (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th), Michael Myers (Halloween), and Pennywise the Dancing Clown (IT), skeletons & cobwebs on the windows, and the sign above displayed as a neon light wooden plank. Entering inside the coffee house is like walking into a haunted house attraction at an Amusement Park with its animatronic monsters, props, graveyard set, and front cabin porch along with 3 TV sets for displaying horror movies & TV shows, and 80s horror movie posters. But don't be scared by its spooky props as the coffee, tea, and lemonade are all unique and original as not only are they named after references in horror cinema but they have unique flavors and combinations. My recommendations for boo-ginners are Worms Michael (strawberry vanilla with oreo crumbs & a gummyworm) and one of their newest drinks, Midsommmer (lemon velvet). Whenever you visit Yucaipa California and want to grab a cup of coffee. I highly recommend stopping at Roast the Dead. Funny enough, it is found across a Catholic Church. But hey, nothing screams a Sunday morning like grabbing a killer cup of Joe after praising the Lord. ☕️👻☕️🤡☕️🐺☕️🧟‍♂️☕️🧛‍♀️☕️🧙

What a spooky place! We loved how dark and horror-filled this place was. Several tvs play horror movies, lots of props, and staff were super nice. Best part was the coffee! They make some excellent blended coffees with no ice chunks in them. Ours were so tasty! We’ll definitely go back and try more.

Enjoyed an afternoon coffee Skinny Witch (sugar free) Mint latte with family Screamsicle (strawberry lemonade). PROS: Ambiance was a mix of 80s and 90s horror movie franchises. They literally popped out of the movie and into reality. Coffee with Freddy Kreuger? Yes. Lemonade with Chucky? Mmhmm. The creativity and attention to detail feels more like a coffee shop in the nexus of all horror movie realities. A sort Waxworks sequeeeeel gone right. They use Wild Goose Roasters coffeee, which is my favorite local coffee roaster at this time. The service is very pleasant and sweet, which balances out the scary going on elsewhere. The names of the drinks creative a fun adventure of posibilities in the imagination. Roast the Dead makes these horror fantasies become a reality. CONS: The actual taste of the latte was a but weak. The barista at Wild Goose Roasters headquarters in Redlands makes the best latte. He tells me it is their unique espresso machine. I will be bringing more friends and family that enjoy horror and coffee to try new drinks. Ciao! ⚜💚⚜

This place has real good drinks, treats, and atmosphere. However, their hours are wildly inconsistent and they don't always give notice to customers. One time I showed up at 4pm, on that day they were supposed to close at 5pm but they closed early. I could hear people inside talking and laughing, so I tried knocking, to no response. I checked their Instagram to see if they gave notice, nothing was there.

I've noticed they tend to do this, I see on their Instagram they post about closing early and get lots of comments like "I came from Los Angeles to see you guys were closed :(" etc., so I wrote on their Instagram how I showed up to see they were closed an hour early, and how if they want to stay open, having consistent hours will help and is professional. So, I tried again a few days later around 3pm, didn't see anything on their Instagram, and they were open this time. Well, an employee there recognized me from my comment and called me out, saying how my comment was mean, how they closed early due to a family emergency and didn't have time to post on Instagram. That's odd since I heard people talking inside, and you could post a quick little note on Instagram. Plus I was polite because I want to see this place stay.

For anyone going there, CALL AHEAD OF TIME to see if they're actually open. To have a spooky artistic place in this area of the Inland Empire is special, I really hope this business improves their customer...

Drinks were really good! The decor was outstanding. Especially the lemonade I had, Swamp thing. Although, customer service was disappointing. Won’t be coming back.

Response to owner/edit: We entered into the coffee shop, and there was a good amount of people inside so one of the barista asked if we could go back outside and to please wait until some people left. We understood, so we went back outside. Then, some people from inside came outside and left. We thought it was okay to go back in. I saw the sign that the maximum capacity was 8. There was about 8 people, maybe a bit more all together with us inside once we came in again. The barista was sort of eyeing us, sort of like he was trying to tell us to wait back outside but he didn’t want to say it again. My nephew saw that the barista sort of looked bothered, so he asked if he wanted us to go back outside. The barista said yes, just a bit longer. We go back outside into the cold, and wait a couple minutes more until the other people finish ordering. The people who ordered come out once they got their drink, so we go back inside, hoping that we can stay inside. We ordered our drinks. However, the barista was not welcoming. He never greeted us, just asked us to wait outside. Not even thank you for ordering, he just got our orders and went off to make the drinks. The baristas just looked annoyed the whole time, so...
