Had the worst server ever tonight. Two friends and I had dinner there this evening and while our server started out on a good foot, she lost any chance at a tip when she refused to accept responsibility for getting our orders wrong. I ordered two hard shell and one soft taco and got all soft shell. When I mentioned it to her, she said, “no you didn’t.” I and my friends at the table all agreed on what I ordered. She offered to correct it but I said it was fine and it would’ve ended there.
After she left the table, another person at the table discovered her order was wrong as well. She had ordered two chicken and one beef taco in hard shells and she got the opposite.
We tried for quite a while to get the serve's attention to come back to the table when my friend got called out to her vehicle to meet a service call. When our server got close to us at a nearby table, I reached out to get her attention and I overheard her telling the customer I was rude. She responded to my waving at her to be patient as she was with another customer. I said, "Yes, I can see that but just want to be sure you stop back here."
When she came to the table, she again refused to accept responsibility for this incorrect order too. She did correct it but very begrudgingly and with a really poor attitude.
As a server myself, I’m pretty sure this is the first time I left a penny on the table for a tip.
There were three of us at the table and she got the orders wrong for two of us. Even though we all heard each other place our orders, she still refused to take responsibility for her mistake.
I didn’t get her name but she had blonde hair in braided pigtails. I also noticed a few servers wearing open toed shoes. Last job I had in the field, that was a no-no according to the Minnesota...
Read moreThe ZBG was a pleasant surprise.
A big place, with a somewhat ridiculously large menu. Included in just the Appetizers, for example, are garlic toast, wings, nachos, pizza fries, breaded mushrooms, cheese curds (which we had and are very good), onion petals, mini tacos, chicken strips, corn dogs (yep: corn dogs), sausage bites, and steak bites. You can get salads, which after eating I’m guessing you’d be stuffed. Wraps. Burgers. Various baskets, with subs, chicken, fish, other sandwiches, chicken strips, and the like. “Specialty sandwiches,” the number of which have bacon as the first listed ingredient, is … five. Plus pizza and calzones. And pasta—13 dishes to choose from, including veal parmesan, manicotti, and chicken cordon bleu. Oh, and don’t forget the kid’s menu. Wow.
That pizza is really freakin’ good, too. I got a 14-inch “ZBG Inferno.” The thin crust was perfectly done and had plenty of toppings, loaded with sausage and jalapenos and covered with habanero cheese. Toasty! Top that off with a couple weightlifting-size hazy IPAs, and you have a recipe for early drowsiness.
Service was also good. We were chatty and so required frequent check-ins just to get our order (the food order, that is--beer orders are always kept at the ready) but the server was patient...
Read moreStaff are very rude and disrespectful if you call in about a delivery order being wrong or bad. I have had 1 bartender get mad at me and snap at me over calling to tell them I got the wrong order. And on another occasion both waitress AND the manager kept laughing at me when I tried to complain about my food being cold and not made right. My nachos was all chips with a very small handful of toppings, my fries where cold and had obviously been sitting for awhile. Nothing was warm even though he literally delivered it 10 minutes after the order was placed. And we didn't have a single sauce we asked for but had different ones we didnt even need.. Every time I order food here the order is either wrong or cold and poorly made. And the prices are outrageous for how low quality the food always is and the poor customer service. I have $45 in store credit there that I will not use simply because I am worried their staff will tamper...
