Chez Louis Restaurant — Restaurant in Espiritu Santo

We stopped in at Chez Louis for lunch, as it was the only place open when we visited on a week day in April. Port Olry was very quiet, as was Luganville. I’m told that this is not the case when a cruise ship docks. ||The service is slow, as other reviews state. This gives you time to have a swim and walk along the beach, marvelling at the brilliant blue water.||Lobster was not available when we visited. Perhaps not the right time of year (or because there were no tourists around). However, our alternate choices of chicken and beef burgers were tasty and well-priced...

Stopped here for lunch during a site visit up the east coast of Santo and was delighted. The setting is absolutely beautiful- right on the coast with safe swimming in clear waters. The family run restaurant offers a simple menu, but the fresh fish, lobsters and local produce were prepared perfectly and priced very reasonably. A wonderful spot to relax and enjoy authentic island...

A very disappointing experience after the excellent reviews I've read. We waited an hour for our meal while others who ordered after us had already finishing their meal.
